  • [QUOTE=1coolbanana;308363]Ive been playing around with the pressure sensors today and theres a bit of good news.
After reseting and reprograming the sensors, 4 out of five seem to be behaving normally.

Bit bored today, still raining, blowing a gale so thought Id get another couple of jobs done.
First the mud flap extensions so it stop trashing the bumper

$25 from SCA and I just cut them down to the length I wanted.

Just watch your mudflaps as some of us have done this previously and found that the extra weight and the movement of the "extra" flaps has caused the factory units to crack and split across the mould line, just above where you have mounted yours. Mine went west going across the top of WA last summer and had to fit new back flaps to both sides and of course Mr Toyota knows how to charge for them

Yeah, they do seem a little flimsy.
I might have a look see at whether I can reinforce them somehow.
      Cheers

      • You got me paranoid now so I went and reinforced it with a piece of the mudflap offcut.

        Before

        After

Hopefully that takes the load off the fold on the original and gives it all extra support

              • Finally resolved the TPMS issues for now.
4 sensors seem to be now working as they should.
1 sensor was a complete rightoff and the fella that sold it to me (ebay) very nicely offered to pay for a new one and the fitting, so got my new one today and will get it fitted later in the week or saturday.
Hopefully thats the end of that!
Nice to see there are still some good folks left on ebay

                  • Got the fifth TPMS sensor fitted today and will re-program the lot tomorrow.
Hopefully it should be all good.

The postman was once again good to me and thanks to Matty and his build thread, this came today
What awesome service, bought it on Wednsday night and arrived this morning.
$65 on ebay, 8 ton tool with 9 dies and now Ill be able to "not solder" my lugs with the best of them

Cant wait to use it in anger soon when the rest of the bits turn up!
