Not happy..... Last checks today as heading to the Simpson on Friday and found 3 of the 4 main bolts on my front bash plate are missing....... Not happy

I am leaving as soon as I can get out of work today. I have been planning this trip for 18 months and never though it would arrive.
I will do a full write up on fuel usage, from Melbourne to Melbourne and across the Simpson, but expect the figures to be bad. At the moment I am getting 14lt 100km when the car is empty. I must have a few to many metal plates bolted on . I have found my fuel has gone up since fitting the larger Cooper tyres as well, but love the tread so I am willing to live with that.

I got half way across the Simpson ( Trip report link )and the rear shocks just didn't cope so I fitted the spare Tough Dog Foam Cell shocks. Total change and I love them. Now the Prado is booked in for next Thursday to get Tough Dog Foam Cell shocks in the front.Stephen Bloomer
