Dammit, its the same two Grande thread guys. You two tag team in wrestling bouts too don't you. That said, it is a good option unless you have springs which both Mitch and I do on our trailers. Coil set up fine, but cant airbag lift springs so haha!Bitumen: A blatant waste of taxpayers money!

Had the tailgate hinges reinforced yesterday by my mate Briffa Engineering as I wasn't happy with the amount of weight hanging off the tailgate now with the kitchen on there. Way too much drop when it was opened...
Bit overkill maybe, but they certainly aren't going anywhere now!!
Also went to ChipIt again today and and we played with the tune and installed the EGT into the dash with the blank plate I made up.. We now have the ECONOMY tune installed. Still awaiting for the software update so I can run the two tunes with a switch to change between the two.
Also stitched up the rear mudflap that Tam broke on our first PP outing.. Only taken like 4 years ;P

This arvo I had a play around with the Tablet Mount on the dash. With the suction mount that I first received and didn't work I made up a mount for the passenger side by using an old spot light mount hinge and a couple of bits of alloy that I fashioned up as spacers. There was a bit of movement due to the weight so I made up a braket that screws off the back of the tablet mount and velcro's under the dash mat. Gave it all a lick of paint and used a length of heat shrink on the stabiliser baraket to tidy it up and ran the power cable through the glove box... Just need to pick up another silver trim panel and then cut it to fit either side of the mount and it should look like it's meant to be there. I positioned the mount so that the trim still has two mounting clips to hold it on on each side. The Tablet Mount is still completely adjustable as well...
**NOTE** This will be used for OFFROAD USE ONLY. Not intended for the road....
In the unlikely event that the airbag is deployed then hopefully the velcro will let go and the hinge mount will allow the Tablet to hinge forward...

Finished product...
Just need to get another trim piece that I can cut up..
At the end of the day, if this solution is no good then we still have the replacement windscreen mount which works fine, there's just a bit of a vision issue!! LOL

Oh.... I also forgot to mention that I finally installed the Dyneema Rope.. The winch is chocka block full of nice shiney blue synthetic now...
In the process of running the steel rope out I managed to lob the hook onto Tammy's foot Needless to say she didn't appreciate it all that much

Picked up the High Lift Jack mount today and fitted it up. Chucked the new jack on there also... I melted a couple of holes through the bag that it comes in and fitted it so it is covered up and out of the weather..
There is a bloody lot of weight on that rear door now though and the door drops slightly when opened.. So it won't be a permanent attachment...
The trip starts tomorrow morning after I finish night shift... I hope Tam is up for the first leg to Kal
