Scared of the dark? How does the alternator handle it when you light up?

Yeah not a bad idea. I have the covers but i'm worried some bogan in my building at work will nick them. We have a double whammy here, Centrelink AND Department of Housing!

I have a little sticker on my dash with my height and a "safety margin" added. No more undercover parking for me.

Why do you think the photos were taken out the front of my garage lol

M missus wants her X-trail kept undercover anyway and we also each have motorbikes so they take up the other side anyway. So not such a great loss. Unless we get a hail storm.

The Prado and the bike get the garage, end of story, no arguments will be entered into

She's a copper - her rules, I dont want to get tasered!

Any recommendations on what dual battery system to go with? I am thinking either Redarc or Projector. Battery tray is on the way and arrives this week so I am planning my weekend project!

                      This weekends project:

                      1. Transmission protection plate has arrived from Brown Davis - install.
                      2. Fold down camp table - copied from Joey I admit but how much of a good idea is it!
                      3. 2nd battery tray install - tray has arrived so time to have a play!
                      4. Installing a second amplifier - this one under the passenger seat. Will power all the door speakers.

                      Wish me luck!

Ok the under body protection is all done!

And the rear camp table is done. In testing to make sure it closed ok, with me in the back I might add, I forgot the child lock was on, locked myself in the car outside and had to scream for my missus lol.

What a massive day! Installed 2nd amplifier which powers all the door speakers. Got the reverse camera hooked up and installed the 2nd battery tray. I have muscles hurting that I didn't even know I had!

                          Some pictures:

Doors trim are off in preparation.

Seat are all out and the head unit moved out for access.

                          Reverse camera installed and working!

The finished product! Sounding awesome. Really crisp, good bass.

All up this part took around 7 hours.

Dual battery tray is in. Directions were pretty easy to follow, still took a little longer than what I thought it would.

Now just need to decide on which deep cycle battery to go and also whether to go Redarc or Projecta. Anyone got any ideas?

I do enjoy it but not too sure how much "fun" it is at times lol!

Got the battery tray from Offroad Downunder. It's pretty good, fairly easy to install.
