I don't mind it, would be tougher than the paper thin silver paint.

For sure d4d! I rubbed all the plastics with metho before I wrapped them, it was amazing how much of that silver came off. Being 3m stuff it's bloody tough and quite flexible when warm. Well worth the $60 for the roll.

Had a chance to finally unpack the my new rear bar from AJ120. For anyone that hasn't seen these in the flesh, they are bloody well made. No doubt everyone has seen aj120 post on the fitting, pretty straight forward, I stuffed up and had to take the bar off a 3rd time because I didn't fit the upper bumper back on before I installed the bar. I ended up running my led indicators, brakes lights and number plate light into the trailer plug for ease of use. This bar is easy enough to fit solo, just have to take your time and use some sort of chocking device, I used a techni ice 60 lt esky with some wood to make up the final height, then used some wood to stabilize the sides once it was pushed under the car. Unfortunately I haven't got finished pics, the prado is in with Toyota today getting new rear internal plastics as they damaged them replacing the rear seatbelts.

Looks great, did you weld the brackets to the chassis as well?

Here are the finished pics minus the last couple of jobs. Not running a second wheel at this stage, but put the arm on to aid as a reminder....

Very happy with the end result. Thanks again aj

Thanks boomer, finished off the mud flaps this morning, used some galv angle with slots for the bottom support and galv flat bar for the top.
Might change them later but for the moment they will work, I also grabbed some small gauge chain, but will see if the rubber starts interfering with the tyres first

Ticked another couple of items off my list yesterday and today.

Was so sick and tired of the crappy am/fm reception I was getting whilst out of town so popped into a local communications place and picked up a GME AEM3 am/fm antenna to fit to the bullbar the only mod that I needed to do was to grind out the hole on antenna the tab on bullbar as it was a bit to small. Won't get to fully test how much better the range is until I head out to work next week.

Also popped into supercheap and they had the SCA 1kg fire extinguishers on sale for $17 so decided to grab it and fit it on the left hand side step on the rear seats.
