Hey d4d yea the hardest part was finding a spot to mount it, it's a fairly large unit.

Here's the part number etc.... The lockout I've seen is a bit diff tho.

Thanks, maybe a typo on their site?

•Intermittent rating 1000 amp DC.
•15 sec on and 2 min OFF.
•Continuous rating 125 amp.
•20 amp auxilliary terminals.

Bloody hope so d4d, the auto elect sold me this one (well looks the same) with the understanding it was 1000a continuos load. I did play with it once I fitted it up today. It didn't cut out at all. But will play again tomorrow and see if it trips

Well the big girl went into arb first thing this morning to get the new roof rack fitted



Didn't stay like that for long tho had to fit my free awning and my TraxRax

Nice work Ghost! Like to see a pic of how you mounted the TraxRax onto the ARB Platform when you get a chance...

Thanks craig, here are a few pics of how I mounted the TraxRax,

When I was at arb I picked up one of their hduty rhino bars 1250 long $76 bucks

Just had to jump up on the roof rack to measure the required distances between the steel rails.

Then mounted it using two of these gal u bolts



Utilizing the steel east west rails on the roof rack





Then it was a simple task of mounting the TraxRax

Great result. The HD channel is a good option to give you more clearance.between the bottom of the MAXTRAX and the top of the door too.

Rang them up just now, they assure me it's 1000a continuous........ Guess will just have to test her out and see if I pop it one thing I'm still not happy with tho is he wouldn't give me a part number to check.... I have found this on jaycars website. Once the car gets back from Toyota I think I will return it and use this one instead big diff in price 49.95 with a bracket v what I paid!! And it says 500a constant load... Just don't want to get out and need my winch and have it pop......

Thanks craig, yea once I decided on the arb rack over the rhino platform it seemed like the best option, after reading though your f sale thread, really not that expensive either and doesn't really reduce the capacity of the roof rack. I do still have a spare u bold these were only $3.60 each from porters so if it does look like it needs more support I will put that 3rd one on, but it feels sturdy enough as is tho

Ghost Whitworths chandlers have a fully enclosed switch for the same money and same specs you might want to look at. Certainly easier to find a place to mount it.

Thanks mjrandom, yea d4d pointed me towards these aswel. I had a look at the jaycar ones. They are a good quality I did pick one up but will take it back it won't be able to be used in the location I would like to

#1 picked up the TJM version this afternoon for his P..... $45. Same specs.

Popped into tjm, they didn't have any rated above 125a they had the same cole herse ones as I got minus the mining spec stamp. Look is like I will grab the blue sea 3000 unit. I've pulled the other one out and will return it Monday and wait for this other one to arrive
