Thought it about time I should start one of these. It' gunna be messy but here goes!

Brought car November 2010, had 40,000 on the clock, was an ex government car from Ceduna, stock standard except the ARB steel bull bar. Then the fun began.
I think we all know what a stock 120 looks like so we can miss that pic.

Here is the rig with my trusty old Hella 4000 fitted that I had on my ute for 10 yrs. If only they would die.
Also installed the UHF in the centre consol as don't use it much.
Due to working FI/FO and living in Port Lincoln it has been hard to do somethings but lots of calls and the internet, I tell you it's easy to spend money.

The first main thing I did was remove back seats and fit out the back.

Went with Black Widow draws, half cargo barrier and a drop down fridge slide.

Muttley doesn't like the downsizing from ute to Prado but oh well
Yep.....I have a Prado just like you

Now to power the fridge and other things.

As I know a little about 12v(they say a little knowledge is dangerous) and didn't want to pay someone else to install my dual battery, had to get a couple of things for the job.
Decided on a Pirana Battery tray & Exide ED5 battery, already had a surepower isolator from dual battery set up I had in the Commodore (wifes car). SWMBO picked all this stuff up when the rear draws were getting done. The best part was when my brother inlaw saw the battery sliding around he decided to install the tray n battery for me(good bloke). The only thing was I nearly had to sell the car over it.
He used Pootrol touchup paint on my Prado. How dare he!!!!

Ran 16mm2 cable through firewall along cable tray to the back where I have terminal posts + a narva 6 block thingy.

The one thing I have also done is install Leigh W diode thingy that bumps up the voltage to get a better charge, and it works well.
I have installed is a Ctek xs15000 due to the fact that the fridge stays in permanently and is always running(hmmmm cold beer). Also installed an inverter to charge laptops & other stuff if needed, although I think I will move it to under passanger seat when I install the other dual battery in an ARB tray.

Also Installed ARB compressor on same side. Didn't want it under the bonnet as can't reach tires on camper trailer nor did I want it in the elements.

At the start when I had the draws done also got some Escape Gear seat covers.
When they were installed you couldn't attach the kids seats to the back of the seat, so after discussions with Black Widow over this they sent me new backs with holes machined in (Happy Camper)

Brought some Maxtrax due to burying the car and having to get snatched out whilst stuffin around,
mounted them on the roofrack with s/s bolts & padlocks.

The rig at Gunya Beach Coffin Bay NP

Well as you all know the more you read on here the more you spend.

Wanted to get ready for the new tires so ordered some wheel spacers from AMTS

Also did the Hilux washer jets upgrade

Honestly if you haven't done this it's a must and only use genuine ones as some have been burnt with cheap ebay copies.

Lucky enough for me work had a little c*%$up with my dates, so by chance got to go and do the Border Track with AJ120, MrsAJ120, MLC, 120D4D, Foxclan, Gunnel, Mal56, & Hibbo.
The only thing was I did need new tires as the Grandtreks were getting a little thin.
Was at a mates place discussing Micky Thomsons when he says a mate of his was a Cooper dealer.
So late Sunday night he calls him and with the price he quoted it was done!
The only drama was after I had them installed and due to all the extra weight of all the other stuff in the back they were rubbing a bit. Called into the guys at ARB Regency on Wednesday morning and asked could I get a full lift Thursday morning? Well the look you could imagine, but he went out and asked the workshop manager and it was a done deal.
Tires and lift whoohoo. Cooper ST Maxx 265 70 R17, OME (cant remember will edit when I get home)

Being used as a winch point for.........
Had a Fantastic weekend meeting a great group of people. Learning lots and seeing different rigs and builds.
The tires and lift went great as well.

          Regards Adam

As the previous pics show got a ARB alloy roof rack. Also got a Foxwing awning to go onto it but after seeing Hibbo's I knew I wasn't goint to use the kit you could buy. Got a mate to weld 2 "C" brackets to the roof rack.

Also have 2 additional panels which zip in as well for extra shade or wind breaks

They say a picture says a thousand words. If you can keep SWMBO this happy in the rig you can get away with any mods.

Happy family on our way West, Southern Cross roof top bag GREAT

Here is another mod that when I received them in the mail my wife said WTF.

Yep right in the LHC the PP sticker thanks to Piggy.
This was near Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse on our way back home from picking up the camper. I wish we had more time to spend around the S/W corner but had a lot of km's to cover in a short time.

                      Cheers,
