  • for a roof rack i went for a wind cheetah, i like the way it attaches to the roof with runners, will get it mounted in a little over 2 weeks time. Also due for a 6 month service so book it in for that. Looking at the KM on the clock at just over 4000km the service every 6 months will line up to close to 5000km.

    Cheers Derek

I got my suspension done at L&S Suspension out at Pinelands, excellent job, just go in and have a chat with Locky on what you want.

        • The Front Runner roof rack should be done by the end of next week, photos up on how it looks then.

Then some bush travel now the weather is good.

          Cheers Derek

            • today do the off road recovery points and fit HID globes in the high beams

a little bit of a modification to fit the recovery points
the globes have a small ballast on the back so no need to mount the ballasts

              photos to come
              cheers Derek

Weather good? Will be happy when this humidity buggers off!

The rack looks great, very streamlined. It's the one thing that the dealership stuffed up with mine and I ended up with a rhino-rack, it's a bit bulky and silver for my liking. I'll sort something out.

What's a good day half day trip close to Darwin? Not looking for anything too serious just yet but just somewhere to slowly break the new girl in. Was looking at the Reynolds but its still shut.

                • Reynolds still shut, shit thats late, there's some tracks around Adelaide River to do, I'm thinking about going maybe this week sometime out there to check the tracks out.
Not sure if the track out to the top of Butterfly Gorge is doable yet, a mate tried 2 weeks ago and ended up winching for 2 hours and he has dual arb air lockers

                  cheers Derek

                    first job today didn't happen

                            Hi Derek,

Do you have any photos of how you got the wiring up to the roof? I am looking at doing a similar job as soon as I work out which lights I will use.

                            Cheers,

I tried to take photos but didn't work out, basically its run down the right gutter then under the rear door seal so you don't even know its there, i'll do some more photos this arvo and see if they are any better.
Also the switch to turn the lights on are on the rear door when we are parked up for camping purposes, but they still turn on when put in reverse.

                                Cheers Derek
