  • Brett's 120

Here is the Prado the day i picked it up, it had just under 100,000 on the clock when i got it.

Stock standard didn't even have window tint which was the first thing i did followed by a turbo timer. The first thing i made was this roof console which i plan to remove and recover with the same carpet but do it so it looks nicer.

The next thing i made was the drawers which atm only go as far as the back seats but im planning on taking the back seats out and extending the drawers up to the back of the front seats, but they will not be one complete unit i will make them as a 2 piece unit so i can take out when not needed. One side will house a water tank and the other will have the fridge and a drawer.

      Then came the wheel carrier.

And then today i finished installing the OME lift kit. The first photo is before the lift kit went in, i had camera on tripod and left it there until i took the last photo just to see how much it went up.

      Lift kit in

i plan on making as much as possible my self as it is much cheaper and it is made how i like it.

        Hey mate,
Rigs comming along nicely! I like the roof console and the lift has made a massive difference. Did you put bags in the back coils?

        Cheers,

Hi dueler, I had the poly air bags in before the lift went in but need some packers to refit them which I am going to get one of the blokes from work to machine up out of some polyurethane. Hi timmay, yeah I could make another set of drawers. I can work out how much the material will cost on the weekend from memory it was very cheap and only to a day to wack together. The locks and slides I got off eBay can't remember how much they were. All up it was a hell of a lot cheaper building my own then it was to buy a set of drawers. Cheers Brett

Thanks to Mr Dueler120 i picked up this ARB bar nice and cheap ( cheers Dueler120 nice looking rig by the way just needs a lift kit now)

The first thing i did was to make up some side bash plates out of 3mm plate as the bar had none

Still working on one for the middle to cover the radiator. Then next thing on the cards is to turn it into a winch bar so trekrider i might just pop in some time this week to say G'day and have a look at your winch bar

                          Brett,

You should consider making these draws available for the forum you may sell a number of them. I would certainly be interested in a set.

Hi Hazza, I have consider making more drawers to sell but I think the cost of shipping them around the country would make them a bit expensive. If you can weld then I would say have a go at making some, but if you can not weld and would been keen on a set I could make them but you would need to price and organise the transport. Mine are just made out of MDF screwed to a steel frame (20mm RHS) and the drawers are 16mm pine, the handles are stainless steel which cost me $40 of eBay the drawer slides I got for free and I'm not sure what they cost. Cheers Brett
