Howdy Brett
Good work on the rig there mate. I would be keen on at set as well. I too have an ARB non winch bar that I would like to convert as I was given a winch for free but no where to mount it. Can you put more info up once you have finished it.
Cheers AdamYep.....I have a Prado just like you

Craig they ones on mine are a complete new fab using 6mm plate for the bracket and 12mm grade 360 plate for the recovery points. I will draw them up on CAD and get a price for having them cut out then go from there. Onaboat once I finish converting to bar to a winch bar I will post how it was done. Cheers Brett

As Brett said, he modified my original ARB brackets by removing the original loops, strengthening the whole plate and fitting some new loops - very impressed with the job. I took them in to work and sand blasted them this morning and then dropped them off to get them Powder coated. I will get them back on Tuesday and will post pictures in my build thread then. Thanks again Brett, fantastic job

Cheers Brett (nice work) perhaps once you sort out the viability, to gauge the interest in these units you could start an thread "EOI - New 120 Recovery Points for ARB Bullbars". If you get enough interest, you may be able to do a bulk run to bring the costs down. It would be interesting also, to see what the cost difference would be between newly fabricated sets vs retrofitted sets. I've just put a call in to my local ARB store to find out the pricing of the ARB brackets for retrofitting. That way you could possibly do a trade in deal with buyers? Get a couple of new brackets to start off with and then do a swap over (providing all the ARB brackets are the same for all bars?)Originally posted by BrettM View PostCraig they ones on mine are a complete new fab using 6mm plate for the bracket and 12mm grade 360 plate for the recovery points. Getting the brackets profile cut shouldn't cost to much as my sister inlaw works at a profile cutting place, once I do the CAD drawing I will give it to her and get a price for 10 sets. Fabricating from scratch I think is better as the ARB ones are only 4mm and won't be as strong as what I made. I will price the ARB brackets as well to compare prices. Will start a thread once I get cost sorted so keep an eye out next week

I was given an old ARB compressor so I decided to make up a small air tank (about 7.5 litres) which i have mounted between the chassis and the side steps, I will take some pics tomorrow of it mounted. Here it is before I mounted it.

I made a bracket to house the compressor in the engine bay behind the diesel filter, will take a pic of that tomorrow

Nice job on the air tank. Should consider making them for PP, certainly I would be interested. If you get enough interest in one city you could send a batch at a time to save freight.

Nice work, looks heavy though, are you putting it down on the chassis rails? I might put an aluminium tank in the winch space of the 150 though the twin ARB compressor is fast enough for tyres and there isn't really enough air to support tools unless the air tank is BIG.My 150 build - http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27423-A-Random-approach-to-a-Bluestorm-150-GXL-D4D-automatic
