This looks great. I want to get a couple of brackets welded to my Bullbar.

Did you have to remove the bullbar from the Prado or did they weld in while it was still attached?

          G'day John,

          Job was done at:

          Cross Country 4x4
Motor Engineers & Repairers - Edwardstown, SA
1100 South Rd, Edwardstown SA 5039

I was really happy with their work, they fabricated and fitted while I waited.

            That's good to hear
Cross Country fitted my bulbar and driving lights. When I was shopping around and I told the sales guy at ARB, TJM that I wanted the isolator switch for the spotties to be the fog light switch on the indicator stalk, they said it would cost heaps (reading between the lines, they didn't want to do it). The guys at CC 4x4 said it was a unique request but would do their best. Well they did it and it and didn't add much to the fitting cost.

Then there's Matty&Loz where they did the first front mount intercooler on a 120... awesome job, and there are a couple of other forums where their name comes up, and it's all good

            Cheers
            John

Just prior to Easter Snoopy 22 had a safari snorkel and redarc electronic break controller fitted.
Just in time for our recent trip into the outback.

I really need to get outback one day, and that sounds like a good one to start with. Could pass on the flies though!!!

Did the cracked head cause much of a disruption to your trip?

I couldnt leave the car idling for to long otherwise it would overheat.
Prior to reaching a destination I would slow down some distance out to allow the turbo to do its thing then I switched the car off.
I missed getting out to big red whilst I waited for the only mechanic in Innamincka to take a quick look.
Biggest hassle was returning to Adelaide and the traffic lights.
Spoke with my mechanic yesterday, the head is now off and there is a visible crack in the valve seat (bugger)
Shouyld have the car bag by friday and it will be interesting to see how much difference the new bonnet scoop makes.

It was, but next time I would either take more time or not travel as far as I under estimated what our average speed would be. As a result we spent a lot more time driving rather than looking around and relaxing which started to wear a bit thin with the other half

Happy wife, Happy life!! Any info about what triggered the head crack? I have read about the cheap cast heads but it would be interesting to hear if a particular event caused the crack and developed then over time where it becomes an issue.

I'm paranoid about it happening with mine and wondering if a heavy duty radiator with extra coolant would be a good preventative maintenance step or it will happen regardless?
