    QUOTE]
Given AJ and I were around the same time I suspect your virgin big red had more to do with the prevailing winds that were stopping the lesser equipped Nissans from reaching the top, despite certain Prados getting up with trailers in tow. :P

There really is nothing more gratifying than doing all runs first time and then watching others struggle. AJ even had to snatch a 150 off the crest which was a pleasant change to me snatching him....... lololol.

Was given a drawer set for free, shame the colour doesn't match but hey...it was free.
Provided the opportunity to reconfigure the shelving in the back of the car.

Looks great mate. Started off looking very similar to mine (same alloys, bar, steps etc). What size did you get the Coopers in? And been happy with them?

Tyres size is 245/75/16. These were one of the first items I purchased when i bought the car. Tyres have been great no complaints, however, next time I will go to 265.

Fitted 40" led bar to the roof rack.
Bit of a pain running the wires through the firewall (tight fit) however all good now.
Tested the lights and the only worked on low beam...damn.
After some double checking and additional research (thanks google) found that the headlights are negatively switched, after swapping the wires to the headlights around it all works, phew.

apologies for the standard of photos (taken with my old iPhone 3). Looking at the photos kinda tells me the old lights probably need to be upgraded at sometime aswell:-)

Doing some research on how to best mount my 8" map tablet and Garmin so I can get rid of the windscreen mounts. Thinking about making a frame or console and mounting to the dash some how

Nice Job on the cargo-area and the LED-Bar!

For the Tablet-Mount I used a universal no-drill stand and a x-grip bracket, both RAM-Mount. My Tablet is a 7'' one. Got mine a bit cheaper than it's quoted at RAM's site.
                      http://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-B-316-1-UN8B

Gets mounted down with the front srew of the seat-rail. Works fine so far, a bit shakey on rough terrain sometimes, but not really an issue. This can be solved by adding a small additional upper fix-point for the stand-tube I think...but not necessary for me so far.

                      Cheers
                      Sven

just wondering where you ran the power for the light bar, I know there are a few ways but the ugly cable is going to get seen somewhere, or do u unplug it for day to day , any pics would be great thanks, the other lights look a bit like mine now, age does it

You could always upgrade the driving lights and headlights to HID's. The headlight upgrade is certainly on my list.

I ran the cables for the lightbar and switch through one of the large rubber grommets on the drivers side of the fire wall where other cables go through , hence the tight fit particularly with the connectors on the wire.
I mounted the switch in one of the blanks next to my dash dimmer switch and ran the cable to the light bar up the A pillar and then across to the top of the B pillar where I then had to get it outside. I chose this point as there was plenty of rubber on the door seal to help protect the cable from closing the door. Then it was up to the roof rack and hey presto....
