Do the scrub bars stop the front bar moving around so much, or do they move with it?

After seeing the colour coded scrub bars and steps, I think you just cost me another $1500...

      Thanks guys.

As i drive on rough roads everyday i did hang my head out the window for a bit yesterday and it did seem quite rigid. About to do a 6000km outback trip so i will give you a better answer when i return mate

Also I paid $1300 including fitting & colour coding.

i would seriously consider it if i could change at the moment mate. would be a damn sight better ride than the patrol i reckon.

looking forward to seeing pics of the outback epic

G'day Guys, just got back from the Flinders/Simpson (end of QAA) and Birdsville taking a heap of back tracks! A very adventurous trip including towing a jeep across the dunes when my mate broke down at the first dune! So I got to the drive the dunes 3 times in the end after 2 trips to birdsville from where he broke down!

Got up the middle line on big red which took around 5 attempts day one. day two got up first go! was stoked with how the prado went!

A few quick picks of the prado, I will do a write up of the trip this week hopefully!

How'd the ST Maxx's go? What sort of pressures were you running?

G'day Madkore, thanks! Hopefully have a better lens next trip!

ST Maxx's were great! I tell you what, the whole trip i got given a lot of crap off my mates – they are big time cooper haters! I don't know how many times on the radio i heard "watch out for the cooper killers after that corner" or similar! I had to think of some names related to their tyres to get them back e.g. "wrangler wreckers, maxxis murderers". The bloke who runs the Birdsville recovery service had a 70 series ute and says he’s never had an issue. They’re roads are rocky as out there so that has to be a good thing.

I usually run them @ 37 PSI for road and daily dirt road driving so on this trip i had them down to 27-30 PSI most days on the faster/smooth roads and down to 23/24 PSI on the rougher roads and then again down to 21 on slower going rougher/low range roads. In the sand I had them down to 15 psi and what a difference they made.

One thing I am disappointed in overall is my ultimate suspension shocks. Earlier I posted regarding fitting of the oil shocks which did happen but hey were extremely rough once i went on my dirt road and i just couldn't bare it (neither could my 1 year old from the amount of shaking in his seat going on!). So they posted my foam cells back to me and i had them installed back on. Much happier with these, the problem was on my trip all the rocks knocked off the adjuster knobs so when I got to the sand dunes they were WAY too soft and the car was bouncing like crazy. Was very dissapointed this happened.

However... I have to give 5 stars to Brendan from Ultimate’s customer service. The outcome is ultimate will replace the shocks for me and install a stone guard. Just a massive pain as they’re 4.5 hours from my place.

                            Hi All,

                            Few updates...

Walked into ARB yesterday with the intention of just mounting an Aurora Single Row LED light bar to my bullbar... however ended up walking out with the following:

                            - Parana Diff Breathers
                            - Rhino Platform Roof Rack (Black) w/heavy duty legs (rails removed)
                            - Fitted my Aurora Single Row LED Lightbar (10,000 lumens, 5 watt led's) mounted under roof rack, all wired back into the cab.
                            - IPF900XS spotties, both in spot beam
                            - Worklight wiring all run to rear of roof rack for when I mount the 2 x 4" Light bars with 10watt LED's x2 in each

The ARB guys from the Orange NSW did an immaculate job on the extensive amount of wiring! They even put in place one connector which all the roof lights run through so i can easily remove the rack without having to cut the wires.

Overall the lighting is great, I don't see a need (neither is it legal) for a lightbar on straight highways so it's good thing i won't be using it there. I am going to convert the spotties myself to HID's later, however driving on the dirt roads home last night with the lightbar on and a lot of roo's to test out my vision I was stoked!!

I also contacted a local plastic moulding plant and they are making up some custom black out covers. I do have another 2 x 10" Aurora single row (6000 lumens each) i was going to mount on the sides and point out (similar to THSWYUP) but i'm not sure if i'll do this now... may just swap the 20" later to a 40" ... anyway enough money spent for now!!

                            Will post photos soon.
