Well it's been a long time between drinks (or posts!) so to speak, but I think moving our whole life from NSW back to WA is a good enough excuse for that. As some of you know, we were all set for a big road trip across the country as our final farewell to NSW, but a descrepancy between our ambitions and my employers Fatigue management policy meant the cars had to be collected and loaded onto a train and us forced to fly business class instead...

Anyway there have since been a few more additions to the rig before we left and once we arrived. Rhino Platform with Sunseeker 2.5m awning, ARB colour coded steps and rails, GENUINE Provent 200 catch can and front sway-bar locators (Icon) are all on with a pair of rear 2" Superior sway-bar locators sitting on my desk (job for tomorrow).

Had a few dramas with the roof platform, the first one come from Rhino with a big dent in the side that *apparently* wasn't noticed by the installers until we pointed it out when picking up the vehicle (luckily I didn't install it myself since I may have been blamed for the damage). The second one was booked in for replacement a day before we headed to Sydney which was the earliest they could get the rack up to Newcastle, I received a phone call on the way to get it installed that they just opened the new one to inspect and it was damaged as well (apparently they were having a bad run with the courier). Hunter Roof Rack City and Rhino were both great in dealing with the problems, they organised the WA warehouse to ship a replacement rack out to ARB Mandurah for installation at no cost once we arrived. This was pretty handy as it gave me a good excuse to order a set of side steps and scrub bars for installation on the same day to make the hour drive to ARB worth while

Pretty happy with the ARB steps not so much as a step, but more the extra protection they offer (the brackets are MONSTROUS and look more than strong enough to sit the car on). The missus thinks they are not wide enough to use as steps and I hope she doesn't ever read this, but I probably agree (I sold them to her as extra protection for the doors in car parks, *oops*). If you just want steps to use as steps and are not concerned with bending your sills (which is where the OEM steps are fixed too ) get the OEM (or TJM ones), the ARB are no good! I also now regret getting the bar colour coded since it forced me to get the steps colour coded too (I wanted the scrub bars in a futile attempt to add more rigidity to the front and stop the bar cracking the guards) , I should have just left everything black, but hindsight is a prick of a thing...

For those of you with Bilstein struts (and probably a few other vendors that have a large lower spring seats) and lifted springs, I STRONGLY advise investing in the front sway-bar spacer plates. They are piss easy to install (all of about 10 minutes and I didn't even bother pulling the jack out) and straighten the front sway bar angles to allow more clearance to the struts and take the twist out of the mount rubbers. My LHS sway bar had been hitting the bottom of the spring seat even though there appeared to be sufficient clearance when not articulating. I went with the Icon ones purchased for $84 shipped from Darren at Auto craft as they were the first Black anodised ones I found (I wanted black so the modifications look factory and are less noticeable).

When we arrived in our new town, we secured the only decent rental property available to cover us until we can find a block and build, the only problem that I didn't think of when inspecting the property was the height of the garage, bloody car doesn't fit so the rack and awning had to be removed. The rack is back on in the photo as this is the *new* undented rack that only went on yesterday, will pull it off tomorrow and put the rhino feet covers back on (i'm loving the rhino rack setup, 6 small Allen key bolts and the whole thing lifts off with the sealed feet remaining on the vehicle and covers to cap the holes)

The next photo shows the BEST addition yet, WA number plates! I preferred the colour of the black and white NSW plates I had on, but I need to get custom ones to go back to a slim black and white plate in WA (it's a F**k load cheaper to register and insure over here too!).

Few more un-ordered additions to go on hopefully next week, Runva winch and some lights. Still deciding between the 11xp (cheaper and red!) and EWX12000 (lower current draw) and pretty set on the ARB intensities just not sure if they are worth the $$$$ or there is a better alternative!

Slimf: I will get some happy snaps and post details of the P3 install.

Cable runs nicely through the outer guard skin brackets and enters through the firewall at the big rubber grommet on the LHS, which is right next to the brain box. This path kept the coax well away from the bulk power cables that now run around the main battery.

Could you provide some advice on how remove the plastic trim to run the antenna cable along the side of the bonnet?? Cheers!

Great looking rig and you have done an outstanding job of fitting.

I am looking at getting the pioneer rack for my 150 series and was wondering if you had noticed much in the way of wind noise or increase in fuel consumption with it on?

            Cheers,

            Mark
