Prado performed faultlessly after 2 weeks at fraser towing the camper. here is a few snaps. Camped a week at ocean lake beachfront camping up the top end of fraser on the eastern side for a week then a week on the western side at Awinya. Beautiful in every aspect.

Sad to say this baby will be up for sale in about a month. Have a new toy that will be coming. Will put a price up and list of mods etc soon in the for sale section

moving back to the dark side "jeep".

Had a pretty heavily modified TJ many years ago and sold it because it was too small and not practical. Got rid of it and went to toyota for many years and had some great cars. Anyway wanted to get something a little more capable again for the weekend trails and a mate just sold me his 2012 JK auto 3.6L penstar 4 door.

One owner with 32,000kms. it has a 3.5" aev lift and also aev black alloys and 35" federal MT's. all work done by Murchison products at Brendale. It is also running a front ARB winch bar and rear ARB bar and tyre carrier. apart from that its stock as a rock.

Its done one day trip to the beach and one day trip to glasshouse apart from that never been off road. The guy i bought it off is a good mate and very particular with his cars, this was his wifes ride.

Anyway very happy, picked it up for $30k.

Plan to add a fair bit to it, first up will be

Rhino pioneer backbone system and platform rack
drifta rear drawers with built in fridge slide
an agm in the rear and will rig it up for solar as well as I do a lot of camping and it will run a 40L engel in the rear as a drinks fridge
rock sliders
snorkel

Prado will be on the market in a month or so and I will put an ad up for it, it will be sad to see it go and it will make one new owner extremely happy!!!

I know jeeps and toyotas have a very strong rivalry and there are a lot of haters. I specifically wanted the 3.6L penstar v6 for reliability and wanted the auto tranny as they drive terrifically with the big rubber. This thing has as good on road manners as the prado believe it or not and economy is surprisingly not much more.

regardless of the car I would like to stay on this forum as its great for info and you are all a great bunch of people.

Yeah one day I have no doubts. Prado was/is the most comfortable and capable all rounder I've ever had. Its been a great truck and it will make the new owner very happy. they could get in it tomorrow and do the cape, simo or go around Australia. It has been a reliable beast and it does it in comfort.

haha yeah they're 220 killer wasps off the shelf and even with the 35s it flies. a mate has a sprintex supercharger on his and its cracked 300kw now.... WE WILL SEE
