Looking good. What are you planning on keeping in the front compartments of the trailer - they look pretty tight to access with the lid on...?2009 White KDJ120R Manual fitted out for family camping and touring - See my Rig Build at http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27887-Smithy-s-Rig-Build

It's surprisingly not that tight with access, pic is a bit deceiving. just lightweight items like bags of clothes etc will go up the front.2012 4dr JK wrangler, 3.5" AEV lift, AEV mags, 35" muddies, front/rear arb bars, tjm sliders, pioneer platform and some other goodies

went for a play at landcruiser park last weekend and boy all I can say is with the locker, bfgs and lift its like a new car. did most of the extreme tracks including cruiser canyon etc with ease.
Trailer was awesome too, very happy with it all!2012 4dr JK wrangler, 3.5" AEV lift, AEV mags, 35" muddies, front/rear arb bars, tjm sliders, pioneer platform and some other goodies

so guys here is a bit of an update on the trailer and also some pics of the solar panel mounted on top and some other things. Trailer is about 95% complete, solar works an absolute treat and bought one of the below regulators also.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/271215060...84.m1439.l2649
Regulator was $54 delivered from china and works an absolute treat. tells me load being used in amps when switches, fridge etc is turned on, can also turn it on and off from the regulator. Also tells me temp in my toolbox which houses batteries, amps beign put in by the solar, voltage remaining, percentage remaining and other things.
absolutely unreal.
Next is just to finish hooking up my two 59L water tanks underneath and also the gas hot water shower to keep the mrs happy! Then I also need to make a stone guard as you can see the Jerry can holders copped a hiding with all the dirt roads to landcruiser mountain park. Other thing to do is build my drawers under the inverter and switch panel inside the trailer which will house the utensils, plates etc right next to the kitchen to make it easier.
The solar panel is mounted via the bracket I fabricated on top at the front you can see in pic 1 and also it has bolts fixed to it which are tightened via the wing nuts underneath you can see in the 2nd picture. The beauty of this is its all connected via an anderson plug so if I camp in the shade I undo the wing nuts, connect a longer cable and run it to chase the sun. In saying this it kept up without needing to move in when camping last however it was in full sun all day nearly. Only time will tell
It is a 140 watt panel kit which I bough 12 months ago and used it as a portable kit. Once I built the trailer I ditched the shitty regulator it had, bypassed it to the one above and mounted it as it no longer needed to be portable.
These days with the price of the 200 watt panels on ebay I will ditch it and buy one of them if it can't keep up. They are under $200 and seem to do the job on a few mates trailers.Last edited by prado2004; 19-09-2013, 10:25 AM.2012 4dr JK wrangler, 3.5" AEV lift, AEV mags, 35" muddies, front/rear arb bars, tjm sliders, pioneer platform and some other goodies

did a fair bit more on saturday, water tanks are now all hooked up so have just shy of 120 litres with the two 59L poly tanks. Just need to find a gas fitting for my shower and then I can plumb all of that in and will be good to go.2012 4dr JK wrangler, 3.5" AEV lift, AEV mags, 35" muddies, front/rear arb bars, tjm sliders, pioneer platform and some other goodies
