Sorry mate, I'm sure my above post made no sense at all, I was thinking it was the typical plastic box hanging off the side of the rubber tube. I guess we all jump in some times.

The tube is an unusual size but a perfect fitting $5 replacement is waiting for you at a wreckers somewhere... it'll just need some trimming! Look for a Cressida MX83R with 7M-GE engine.

Ahh, thanks for that. When I get a chance I'll hit the wreckers. So you just cut out the centre section of the Cressida tube and heated the ends to mate up ?

Yep it's that simple mate. Note the tube is already a perfect fit, so the heating/stretching is only to help the lock everything together (something for the straps to clamp against).
