Very interested to see how the suspension install goes, I almost pulled a trigger on these some time ago but for some reason went the standard bilsteins which I am now looking at changing for a 3" kit with longer travel shocks.

It's a shame the rears are still yellow though (yes it's petty I know)...

Woo Hoo! You must be like a kid at Christmas :-)

Hope those spotties have anti-theft devices, Lightforce seems to be the thieves preferred brand.

Will try and get the car booked in next week sometime. I'm pretty keen to get it in asap as I actually thought they had installed it already. There are a few things to finish off, the shower is 90% installed as it still needs plumbing.

            Scangauge is in.
30m of 10mm rope is one the winch. Need to space out the fairlead too as it sits quite far back in the bar.

The missis noticed the scangauge straight away.

Our last truck had Boost and EGT's gauges up the A pillar and she hated them, so even though she now claims that the Prado is her car, she didnt mind the scangauge.

Im not sold on that location. I like the idea of having it up near the rear view mirror, but for the moment it will do.

Hava a look at my rig build for an alternative. Not sure if this would work on the 150 though?

Thanks Smithy, thats where I would like to get it somewhere (RHS of the steering wheel) but it dosent seem to fit anywhere neatly. The space below the tweeter in the picture is where I would ultimatly like it but I would need to make a little bracket up to get it to sit correctly. When I get some more time I will definatly be playting around with the location.

Also on another note. Booked in to get the suspension fitted on Thursday!

                          Now to the issues...

The tyre on the rear door needs to be spaced. I used some washers to space it out, but I need a couple more. The tyre also just, and I mean just, touches the rear bumper.

Overall the rear tyre could go 5-10mm higher and 5-10mm out and it would be perfect.

                          Scrubbing.

As most people stated there is some scrubbing on the mud flaps. Its not major and when I get the chance I will give them a hit with the heat gun and it should be an easy fix. There is some other scrubbing issues with the drivers side UCA, and the passenger side UCA could do with some more clearence. The guys who did the install are going to take another look as the head mechanic (the reason why I went there) ended up going home sick with gastro so I dont think the other two guys really got their head around how the adjustable UCA's work and they ran out of time so the diff drop is still not installed.

The initial impression of the ride (Quick drive before I put the tyres on, and one lap around the block with the tyres).

The ride feels fantastic. There is a lot more confidance in the steering, very little body roll, and a much more positive feel about the car. So far I would go to say you get a lot more feedback from the car and road. Dont think of that comment as a harsher ride, it feels a lot less wallowy without being harsh.

Once I get the front end sorted and a few more km's up I will have some more comments.

That looks really very good. For the spacer pm amts and grab one of his rear tyre spacers, you might get enough space to clear the tyre on the bar.
