Went for a play up Lerderderg, got a little frustrated at some of the track closures and decided to dive into a bog hole, for kicks. So I have now spent the last couple of days trying to dry it all out!
Cheers Brad

Nah, only problem I had was couple of hours later into the day I had the low range light and some other light flashing at me and it went into limp home mode.
Worked it out as water in the transfer actuator plug. Unplugged it, dried a little then got the car back to a main road, just incase, then turned it off for ten minutes and it came good.
Starter motor wasn't happy for a day after either.
It wasn't quite deep enough to worry any electrics internally, plus us looking at it stuck, taking pics, laughing and then getting around to getting it out didn't help.
Cheers Brad.

Yeah leaving it there probably wasn't the best haha. It doesn't look that deep but any water inside is not good! Just as well there's no permanent damage!
I think I know that bog hole Brad, pretty sure we drove through the same one last time we were there. Luckily we did not get stuck so no carpets to dry out.
And the truth to the story is: Men in their late 30's still behave like teenagers!
Pulling the carpet and cleaning it cost me nothing, in fact it made me money! I found $2.10. However, since the carpet is out i decided to order a UHF, some more switches, run wiring for new USB chargers, an amplifier and rear work light.
Cheers Brad

I must correct myself. Had to pull the starter motor out and clean out the mud as it was stopping the solenoid from working and the car wasn't starting. Cleaned out the brushes and they looked to be in great condition, some contact spray and back into service. All good!
My new shoes!
Cheers Brad

Looks like the nasty hole on diggers trk. No no don't go in that one
Yeah I think it was on Diggers. I have learned how leaky these cars are now, actually there is a lot of spots the water came in, all through poor design.
In other news I sold off the original GX wheels and the black Sunraysias, so more funds for more toys, although I might wait till after tax time for more funds!
Also installed an Alpine CD player. New speakers and amplifier to follow at a later date.
Cheers Brad
