Everyone here knows what a prado looks like, so the photo above is just to give an idea of what the steps I'm designing will look like. Still a work in progress, but not far off making them.

    "The List" (EDIT)

    Tint *done
    ARB Deluxe winch bar *done
Kaymar carrier with wheel and jerrys *done
    OME suspension *done
    Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform *done
    GME UHF *done
    Dual batt *done
    Redarc DC-DC controller *done
ARB twin compressor under the bonnet *done
    Touchscreen radio/gps
    Rear draws
    Wiring to/in the back *done
LED light bar up front. *done
    Manta 3" Exhaust *done
    Custom tuned chip

All before christmas, so looks like I'm going to be busy the next few weekends. Haven't decided yet on wheels/tires.

Got it booked in for an ARB winch bar, kaymar carrier, suspension and roof rack. Also to go on is the GME UHF, dual batt & redarc controller, arb twin compressor under the bonnet, touchscreen radio/gps, rear draws, some wiring to the back, and a light bar up front. All before christmas, so looks like I'm going to be busy the next few weekends. Haven't decided yet on wheels/tires.
Looks good mate... Keep us posted

        Hi Gonfishn,

What sort of roof rack are you looking at ARB/tracklander ?

Getting the Rhino Pioneer Platform rack mate. Saw one on an FJ and I like the look of it. Had racks with sides on before and found they just get in the way a lot of the time. It was ARB's sweetener deal for dropping a wad of cash with them... they threw it and the fitting kit in as part of the package.

Made up the compressor mount this weekend. I'll adjust the cad model to make it all in one part so the next one will be a bit prettier. Snug fit for the big compressor...

Wow I would never have thought the twin head beastie would fit up there. Nice work. Are you switching it locally or back in the cab?

Unfortunately I have to wait until the 20th to get the arb bits fitted. That will be the most noticeable changes. 4wd and camping show in the meantime...

Switching the compressor from the cab. Don't really trust switches under the bonnet to not get full of crap. Air on board has switches coming soon for the 150 prado so they look like oem switches. They have heaps of switches for the 120, but they are slightly different. As nice as the carling type switches are, I'd like to keep it looking all neat and tidy. Conveniently there are 3 spare slots in the center console, so compressor and 2 lockers if/when they eventually get fitted.

Also fitted a bracket for a 6-way distribution block on the driver side of the engine bay. I'll chuck up some photos of that later too.

For those wondering where to put their UHF, there is a nice little cavity under the cup holders. Should work just fine for the units that allow them to be tucked away. Just the mounting that gets tricky... 3M double sided tape is generally somewhat awesome so I will give that a shot.

Picked up the car this weekend after ARB has done their part. Looking much better, but something really needs to be done about those rims/tires... like Dick Cepek Gunmetal 7 rims with 275/70/17 Mickey T STZ's. So, front and rear bars fitted. Snorkel installed. Sitting up a bit with OME suspension (no more waterbed suspension). And very happy with the pioneer platform.

Spent the day hooking up the front led bar and fog lights today. Waiting for an ebay shop to get their new switches for the 150 prado before I do anything permanent in the cab.

Still need to wire in the UHF and the rear light on the kaymar bar. Surprising how long all the wiring takes when you're trying to make it all neat.

Sidesteps also need to be tacked up in place and welded. Parts are sitting on the shed floor, just need some spare time...

Hi gonfishn, rig looks great , just wondering which arb dealer you went through? I have dealt with osbourne park a little, just wondering what your experiences were like?

My UHF came with the car so I went looking for it yesterday. After pulling half the dash apart I found it's in the same spot you mentioned. It appears to be held in place purely by cable ties, I couldn't move it when I cut the North/South facing one though. I'll be having another crack at it on the weekend as I'm going to swap it out for another unit. Will need to disconnect more of the wiring looms under the centre console to get better access, ran out of time to do that yesterday.

I couldn't open the attachment but I'm assuming it's just a pic of the spot under the cup holders.

I always went to osb ok for both of my previous 4wd's. They were always helpful and I never had a problem. I went to wangara this time because its closer to home now. Mark and Sarah were great, happy to work through all the choices when I was looking at what to get done.

Fido, yep that's the spot. I figured there must be some little cavity somewhere there and just kept pulling cords and digging. I might use cable ties as a backup, but thought I'd try some 3M double sided tape I have as well.
