In March 2013, I bit the bullet and bought my first Prado - My first 4x4 actually. From the moment I took one out for a test drive i knew it was what I'd been chasing.
After a few hassles finalising the loan (8 hours waiting at the Dealer) Everything was sorted and I finally had the chance to take it home.
The afternoon I picked it up.
I had ordered a Colour Coded ARB deluxe bar to put on the front however that was still a few weeks away.
In the first month, I managed to rack up ~4000kms. Yeah, that's a few.
The bar arrived in time for the first month service so I had it installed by the guys at Shepparton Toyota (they'd arranged the whole thing conveniently)
At the 10,000 km mark I had some Lightforce Striker 170's installed.
As it stands, the exterior looks like this (excuse the dirt and mud and etc.)
I recently took my first real off roading trip with some work colleagues up to Mount Terrible. Needless to say this was an eye opener. And I did get stuck (The, um, Grandtreks are a bit useless sometimes). And I did get towed out by a Jeep. Nevertheless, it was a great first trip out.
Im now at about the 30,000 km mark and am getting keen for what the new year may present...
What The Future holds:
That's about it for now. Shall keep you posted as progress occurs!
