I've started working on a cover for my 2nd Battery. (Its only an MDF shell at the moment so no photos just yet.)
The cover will come complete with a fuse block and some various sockets. The fuse block will be connected to the battery using more Anderson Plugs...Keeping the battery portable for camping trips.
A few more tee nuts and some cap screws will be used to hold the cover to the drawers.

Last weekend, I installed my dual voltage meters. They fit perfectly in the switch blank.

And this weekend the missus and I headed out for a sneaky camping trip. My recently acquired quickgrips carried the shovel on the roof rack.

It works a treat. I had thought of wiring them through a relay - connected to an accessories feed. Didnt end up doing this though. The 2 displays are hard wired to either side of my VSR under the bonnet. (Through the drivers side grommet in the firewall and across under the windscreen)Originally posted by 120D4D View PostLove that volt meter, I was looking for just this bit of kit but couldn't find anything I liked.Spilsy

Yep, it is always on. The power draw is minimal (from the solidkit website):Originally posted by MYT105 View PostSpilsy,
Is it always on then the way you have wired it up? If so is there much power draw, and how bright is it at night time when the car is off and no lights around?
Where I have it, you can barely see any light emanating when its dark. There is a light red glow while driving, but after the first night drive, you don't notice it. I was originally going to put it near the aux/usb/accessories socket in the centre console, but figured the glow would be very visible there.Low current draw, only 14 mA per panel (0.336 Ah per day)Spilsy
