I think the small or medium one. Priced the TJM snorkel today, $412 which is a bit rich, I'd rather a safari for less. I'll see what happens after Christmas (bonus is burning a hole in my pocket).-=2014 GXL D4D Auto Graphite, Firestone Airbags, ARB/Optima D34 Dual Battery, ARB UVP, TJM Airtech Snorkel=-

ARB Capalaba. Had them done there in my patrol as well. Price went up though, the patrol was $550 and the prado was $700 ouch! But they are worth it and can't do it myself.Originally posted by mullerwh View PostNice mods. I'm also in Brisbane and looking at fittiings airbags. How much did it cost and who fitted yours? Cheere
Just did 400kms on Christmas holiday with 16psi and full boot and four people. Handles like it was empty. Love em.-=2014 GXL D4D Auto Graphite, Firestone Airbags, ARB/Optima D34 Dual Battery, ARB UVP, TJM Airtech Snorkel=-

I bought some ARB Bash plates today, will post up when they are fitted. The mine corp one is too low and bends too easily. And its rusting, because it rubs on everything you drive over.-=2014 GXL D4D Auto Graphite, Firestone Airbags, ARB/Optima D34 Dual Battery, ARB UVP, TJM Airtech Snorkel=-

All fitted, poor form by ARB who haven't updated the instructions to adapt to 150 series installs. For those not in the know, The ARB plates fit both 120, 150 and FJ with only bolt size, and some spacer and bracket differences. But the instructions are for the latter models leading a self installer (me) to head scratch for some time trying to work out why I don't have half the bolts mentioned.

Impressed with the extra ground clearance, at least 30mm over the mine corp version, plus another 50mm between the front IFS where this plate tucks up nice and snug. Also thumbs up for transmission cover, and transfer guard. Didn't have this protected before.

Yes, but the factory one is just a cover, it doesn't protect anything from what I see, I was under the car and had access to ramps so the extra 5mins it took with the impact driver to swap it out seemed worth it.Originally posted by fido666 View PostDid you not have the factory transfer guard fitted before? From what I can see the ARB one isn't much different to the factory one.Last edited by Symo; 28-06-2015, 07:04 PM.-=2014 GXL D4D Auto Graphite, Firestone Airbags, ARB/Optima D34 Dual Battery, ARB UVP, TJM Airtech Snorkel=-

The Brains one is the best, but overkill for me. Also I don't need to spend any more money, if I break anything related to the transfer case I'm probably in a pretty bad place!Originally posted by kenny5000 View PostI have the same ARB bash plates, the instructions are shite and do leave you pondering the fitment for a bit! The transfer case is pretty much the same as the factory one, just a lot heavier in construction. I didn't use it as I have one of Brains guards
I wouldn't call the factory one protection, more of a garnish.Last edited by Symo; 28-06-2015, 07:02 PM.-=2014 GXL D4D Auto Graphite, Firestone Airbags, ARB/Optima D34 Dual Battery, ARB UVP, TJM Airtech Snorkel=-
