Then installed a Racor R230R filter before the main filter. This fits perfectly into the AMTS bracket that i used.
I used R9 EFI hose, quality fuel fittings and good stainless hose clamps etc.

Can I ask what Micron rating you chose for this filter please?

I have knocked over a few more little jobs as our cape trip is rapidly coming up to us now..
First was to fix the solar connector to the Aux battery. I didn’t like having to connect my solar panel to the plug in the rear cargo bay for two reasons. Firstly, the extra cable run from the back of the Prado to the front before it got to the Aux battery under the bonnet and secondly having the rear door or window open to feed the cable in the rear cargo bay. So I made up a short lead and connected it to the back of the bullbar vertical post in the front. Much happier with this solution. I have been using cable ties to secure the plug while testing the idea (and it doesn't move at all) , but I am happy with it now so will secure the plug with a bolt. Much more convenient and I can lay the solar blanket over the front windscreen reducing heat inside.

I had installed my diff breathers but when I installed my Secondary fuel filter, they were just cable tied to one of the nearby posts in the interim. Made up a bracket out of gal the other day to take the breathers and this fit neatly against the firewall to the standard protruding posts.

        Diff breathers fitted up

Mounted with spring washers and stainless nyloc nuts.

Had a Factor 55 Flatlink on order for three months, but were out of stock, finally arrived and all fitted up now. Very nice bit of kit with secure locking with a shackle

I also installed the AMTS 120 recovery points today. I have been using a bridle recovery strap with the ARB bulbar tow points in the past. They have worked well, but I know this is a better solution and with the cape trip coming up, it was good insurance.

The only thing I don't like is how close it is to the right hand side washer bottle shield, it actually touches due to the lack of room. I had to loosen the washer bottle shield to get it to fit then re tighten, so the arb side wings had to come off to do this. The recovery points them selves are well made and a great solution for the 120 Prados otherwise.

        Cheers
        Robert

            Craig,
I would have much preferred normal bolts instead of hex head bolts as you know, but I couldn't make them fit on the washer bottle side today as there was stuff all room there, so had to go with the hex heads. Now I have to carry a 10mm hex socket, just in case....

            Cheers

                Nice work.
I just got my prado, I was thinking of fitting a trans cooler too. Was it a difficult fitment?

Also, what'd you get stung for the recovery points?

Oil cooler was fine, most of the time was spent making up some brackets to fit in the small space.
I got the Recovery points from 'AMTS' on this forum, just PM him as sells them

My Aveneger Mako TDS has been an exceptional winch for me, but after a bit of winch work recently and during re-packing my winch prior to the next trip, I got a dreaded grinding noise and no winch movement. A broken drive-shaft by the sounds

                    The Broken drive shaft

A cut out of a display Avenger winch

I dropped into Torq4x4 who I purchased it from who confirmed it on the spot and they put in a quick call the manufacturer, who couriered up a new drive shaft up free of charge even though it was well out of warranty.
Torq4x4 then took out my winch without question and replaced the drive shaft, free of charge and said sorry for the inconvenience.
Just outstanding service from Dave at Torq4x4. Top job fellas

Now its all ready to pull out any stuck Petrol 120s on our cape trip

                    Cheers

Wow, surprised we didn't hear that break on Rover Trail Robert! As for recovering V6's a winch recovery would be acceptable since the V6 would've been busy towing D4Detonates. most of the way!!

Wow, that is great service right there. I can tell you for a fact when a warn breaks the driveshaft you buy a new one and it takes 4 weeks to get here! (although it was a millitary winch so god knows what abuse it has had)
