I started making my sliders at work and here's some photos. ( I didn't weld though as I'm crap at it) . Made the frames and sat one side in place to measure the mounts and to figure out how to secure them to the chassis.
I have to pick up some checkerplate tomorrow which is the only thing I should have to buy

I will have to move some wiring for the couplertec rustproofing on the weekend as it exits the chassis through one of the prefab holes in the chassis that I want to use for a bolt mount for sliders

I fitted up my TraxRax yesterday. They look great and will be so much easier than getting them off the roof now I can reach them from the ground and have them locked up as well. I bought some quick fists & mounted them on the TraxRax as well so I have somewhere for the long handle shovel. I now just have to be mindful of the extra height when entering undercover carparks.
I also re routed the wiring exiting the chassis through the holes I want to use to bolt my sliders on which hopefully should happen in the next couple of weeks.

Fitted Leigh W,s alternator voltage booster. I was getting 13.8 volts cold and am now getting 14.2 volts. Nice

Mounted my led bar after spraying it up and ally mounting bar up to match bullbar. I identified the high beam wire at the back of rhs headlight but not sure how I'm going to solder on to it . I may have to remove the headlight or aux battery, whatever is easier. Anyway I ran out of light so will sort this tomorrow

I don't think I've ever seen a colour coded light bar before. That looks great Matt.

Thanks mate, I was always going paint the ally because it was grey and then got carried away and did the lot. It did turn out better than I thought.

Looks like it could do with adjusting upwards.. I like the white Light Bar! I was going suggest buying a H4 adapter which allows you to simply plug in between the harness plug and the globe to get your high beam. Not cutting, soldering or scotch locking then

I agree to turn them up.This adaptor would have saved me today as everything took way longer than it should have. But I guess that's why I'm not paid by the hour. Haha

Do you have a link to one of these adapters?

                        Mattfunk's 120

A few months ago I bought a baintech BG10 low voltage cutout.
This has 10 different settings you can adjust to have it cutout and in at various voltages depending on your preference . I wired this into the 6mm2 twin I had run to the back for my fridge outlet. My evakool fridge has an internal cutout at 10.4 volts but I would rather my aux battery not get that low cause my thinking was the less often the battery is drained to a lower voltage, the longer life it would have. Anyway it wasn't until recently when I installed Leigh,s voltage booster & I was checking voltages I remembered I hadn't checked what voltage I had at my fridge outlet. When I originally installed this outlet in 6mm2 I only had .1 of a volt loss which I was pretty happy with . When I tested it today I had .6 of a volt loss. I decided to test either side of the BG10 & discovered I was losing .5 of a volt through this unit . This loss was now contributing towards this unit cutting out & therefore I deemed it to be doing more bad than good so out it came today. I do have switchable dual voltmeters next to gear shift that I regularly keep an eye on so it no drama, just a little frustrating after spending the cash & installing this unit. I now have a near new baintech BG10 for sale.( I guess I'll give it a glowing review in the for sale thread) haha. A six pack? No maybe a tallie?any takers?
                        Cheers Matt

Today I thought I would double check my readings before I sent this low voltage cutout back. I hooked it up to the battery with some fig 8 flex & it was fine so I looked at my photos and the red was to positive & the black to negative but if you have a good look I have hooked it up backwards. A classic case of innies & outies mixed up. At this point I felt like a bit of a knob and glad I never slag off anyone or product in case it comes back to bite me on the ass . Anyway connected it properly & there is no voltage drop whatsoever to the rear fridge point. Happy days & my battery will never get too low that I could

I had all intentions to fit a trek table and led light today however I hadn't decided on a light yet so I ran the wire & cut the table to size. When I removed some trims & the rear door seal I saw this.
Not too surprising as my car was originally from the department of housing in Mt Isa. So I spent most of the arvo cleaning the red dirt out cause some of it was still damp. Also to confirm that this was red dirt & not rust which it wasnt .Anyway will get a new seal soon as there is a few tears in it & finish this table next weekend once I've sourced a light.
                              Cheers Matt
