    Sorry for my english.

    Bye
I think Chippy has the standard Sovereign Bullbar
Bull Bars - Accessories - Toyota Australia

He has different spotties on it and has fitted after market fog lights and blinkers which are mentioned somewhere else. I think they where LED lights of fleabay from memory.

    • Thanks Nick

Yep .... standard Toyota Sovereign bar .... which is an alloy bar.

It just looks a little bit different to the advertising pics

        • Thanks guys, very nice bullbar.
Unfortunately here in Brazil we don't have this product or a similar one, I called in Toyota and they said this to me.
We only have the ARB option.

First up ..... huge thanks to MattWhite. The offer of a hand (and an equipped workshop) was taken up with a great deal of enthusiasm.

Thanks Matt ... your knowledge and expertise made this a hell of a lot easier than my usual efforts

Had a couple of jobs to finish before the GTG .... so it was time to get the old girl up in the air with her skirts off

Then dropped in some new Firestone Coilrite airbags from Airbag man.
IMHO the airline fittings are far more effective than the Polyairs.
This kit (ACR5034) is for the 120 series Prado with the 2" lift.

Put the airline fittings on an ally plate and plumbed them up into Drew's Hole

While it was up in the air the CV's were popped out anf the front axle seals replaced

The the front prop shaft came out and the front transfer case seal was replaced.

Then the front end got new rotors and pads.

Then there was new rotors, handbrake shoes and pads for the rear.

..... and I've now got another job to do ....

While I was under there I found that a past impact with mother earth had done some damage.

The rear fuel tank bash plate has suffered a hit ... torn the mount and shifted both the tank and bash plate.
So Monday's job is to call a few wreckers .... or gas conversion joints.
Its a replacement bash plate as a minimum ..... or tank and plate if the price is right

Did a few running repairs to the door table ... and replaced the carpet.

Knocked up a new set of drawers ....

With the 110 L Waeco on a National Luna fridge slide.

... and the drawers on a set of eBay drawer slides ...

.... and then there's a spare 17x7 steelie with the best of my old Kelly Safari's on it as an extra spare.

There's a few more pics to go .... but that was my Saturday

            Cheers

              G'day Chippy
Great build up pic's again Chippy. Nice to be able to get the Prado in the air (in a controlled way). So much more can be seen and therefore achieved when you can get to things easily. Chippy what brand of Disc Rotors did you opt for? How many Klm did you get from the last set and in what combination ie -new pads - disc machining ect.
Good luck with the Fuel tank mate, usually see these on fleabay. I often wonder why Mr Toyota couldn't have given us The extra twenty litres or so in the rear tank, by filling the void to the bumper bar/chassis rail, just like the Long Ranger 21 litre poly water tank.
Thanks for the write up Chippy.

              Cheers Troy

So it seems you are back now Chippy. I thought you'd been locked up doing hard time since you had been very busy on the site, got promoted to a Global Mod and then silence.

So how is Parole treating you :P

Those new drawers are looking really good. Any idea on the weight of these without the accessories in place?

I'm guessing around the 30 Kg mark. Never actually got around to weighing them. ops:

They're an easy lift for one person ..... just awkward to carry because of their size.

                  Cheers

                    Looking sweet as!

Which rotors did you end up going? Any reason why you didn't choose slotted ones?

The ol' girl is looking pretty crusty under there! Good to see!

Just knocked together a custom fit cargo barrier - to stop Bek's handbag from flying though the car

Got an old Milford barrier and gave it a trim.

Came up alright for a Saturday morning rush job before heading off to a mate's wedding  :?

--- yeah, I know, I tried to talk him out of it and buy a Prado instead ----- they're a lot cheaper !!!!

Just finished off the new 60 litre water tank under the camper trailer.

All plumbed in .... and with a 12 volt pump .........

Lockable water filler fitted between the gas bottles.

A tap fitted to the mudguard.

The pump is wired to a momentary switch on the tap mounting bracket.

..... and it works .....

                              Cheers
