Ok after some research have purchased my bonnet scoop....
went for the hilux style...cost 300 bucks ...it will be a additional 400 to fit and respray the whole bonnet....
as i fly back to png in a couple of days its booked in the day after i get home....
i have taken a couple of pics of it just sitting on the bonnet to get a idea of what it will look like...once its moulded to the bonnet and sprayed it will look awsome....big thanks to the lads from bear custom body works here in Cairns for looking after me...
just a bit of a sneak peek.....will post the finished product in a couple of weeks....man its going to look tuff!!

Excuse my ignorance....... I love the look of the scoop..... but,........ How do you fit it. There is a second internal skin under the bonnett, and does the scoop not act like a..... 'scoop' when doing water crossings? As I said, there is probably a logical answer to this, just not clear to me. Thanks,
its fitted professionally and its just a matter of cutting through the bonnet....the scoop actually is the identical size of the intercooler and fits directly over the top.
the water drains straight out..its no different than the hilux or nissan with water crossing....the main reason for me is with the chip and boost i am cooling the engine a bit more....oh and it looks good

It probably won't help much Joey, but back in 1999 I fitted a Nissan Patrol scoop to my wifes (girlfriend back then) Hyundai. I ended up modifying it so it could be installed without drilling through the bonnet. In our case it was purely asthetic as we didn't require the internal components to direct the air onto an intercooler so I cut it all out. 10years on and it is still fitted to the car (we know the current owner) and that was just flush fitting it with automotive body moulding tape.
Yeah cant wait till its finished...going to look SICK!!
