Hey mate.

good to see some of the mods. I finally got the new roof rack, went to see steve out at oppy lock. The thing is much better, the difference in quality is like trying to building something out of playdoh versus mechano.

I've been looking for a mike holder for my UHF, i totally forgot about Hold My phone, i bought some stuff off them years ago, i'll have to go and order one of the mike holders now.

Good to hear you got it sorted! The mic holder is goog, no drilling and nice and neat.

Gave the Prado a wash today. I drove through what I'm going to say was about 1,000,000 small bugs a few weeks back, not a good idea leaving them til today to clean off. Talk about baked on. Washed the bullbar about 10 times and there some of them are still there!!

Some rear drawers are on the way courtesy of the Adelaide 4wd show. I got a decent discount, better than I could have haggled in store anyway. Should be set in the next few weeks!!

Now that the drawers are on the way in the coming weeks, I am trying to decide what fridge slide to use. I would like a drop slide but I'm struggling to justify the $$$$ for the extra convenience. At this stage I will most likely just get a normal slide and use a collapsable step for ease of access.

What slides are recommended??

It won't block it but someone in the front or even possibly the rear will be wearing an ipad where their face use to be..

The mounts sit to the right of where it deploys from, as adrian says the ipad would be caught by it. It is only up there offroad, not that that means I will not need the airbag then but a calculated risk in this instance.

I had another look today after I was thinking more about it, the mounts easily clear it and the ipad may just get caught a little on the edge. I think it would be pushed down if the airbag is deployed but I am now considering extending the mount a little so it sits a bit lower.

Hi Kenny, I noticed you used the prado for a while with the bull bar before adding the lift, how was the ride quality before and after the lift, I ordered the ARB deluxe bar as with yours and was wondering if I should do lift at the same time as I've read that the ride become spongy with the added weight of the bar, but does the lift affect the comfort on highway driving? would appreciate your thoughts.

G'day Ryan,

I had the bull bar on for about 3 or 4 months prior to the lift, as I knew I would put a winch on I wanted all the weight up front prior to lifting. You can notice a slight difference with the bar and no lift but nothing to really worry about, over the short term. You might loose 15ish mm up front and notice it slightly under braking/cornering but nothing to bad. If you are looking at putting a winch on I would get that before a lift as well as any weight up back so you don't have to change springs out later. Feel free to give me a yell if you want to come around and check anything out in person for reference.

Edit: One more thing, I noticed more of a difference regarding ride with the heavier sidewall tyres than the bar with no lift.
