Ok, finally had some time to sit down and get some pics together. Have spent a bit of time this weekend doing a few bits and pieces. Removed the factory roof rails which was an easy task thanks to several threads on here and installed my Rhino Platform. Took the spare wheel cover and back plate off and removed the dodgey little plastic cover over the camera. Also Took the tow hitch out and put the new recovery hitch in. Looks the goods.

I'll be very interested in how good the Icons are Drift. I went for a run in FlyNdrive's FJ over in Nevada. Wow what a ride! Having said that it was a Full Stage 6 getup... Definitely my choice if the funds came my way...

From all I've heard and read, they should be absolutely fantastic but the proof will be in the driving.

Toys have been arriving all week and she's booked in for lift, bar & winch on Monday. Can't wait! Will have to either get a couple of new brackets made up for the awning or use one bolt each whilst supplementing the other for a hose clamp. It appears they didn't have pioneer platforms in mind as a mounting option when making the brackets as they're not quite long enough to straddle two bars. Not to worry not difficult to resolve. Also arrived this week is a dual colour dimable LED flexible camping light and 120watt Projecta folding solar panel. Went with that option primarily due to weight and size. The additional $$$ are worth it for that alone for my needs. Should get the awning mounted up this weekend weather permitting and I'll get some pics up when done.

Received a set of craigm's TraxRax today. Haven't mounted them up yet but I must say I'm impressed by the quality of the product.

                Would these help?

A bit short I think. I could likely get away without 4 mounting points however being a full wing awning, I'm mindful of the weight and would much prefer to be safe than sorry. The current brackets (at home so can't provide pics) are quite a bit longer than those in the image but fall short of picking up the second bar on the platform by approx 100mm. Just need a bit of flat bar bent up and drill a couple of 8mm holes.

Installed TraxRax mounts and Supa Wing awning yesterday. Starting to look like a real 4be now.

Goes in tomorrow for bar, winch & lift.

So yesterday morning I dropped the rig off to have the ARB Deluxe Winch bar, Runva EWX-12000 winch and Icon Stage 1 suspension kit installed. Picked it up today with that lot and also had a set of Nitto Terra Grapler 265/70/17s put on to change the out the factory shoes and had recovery points fitted. Decided against going with 33s in the end as after plenty of reading, I decided the additional fuel use and impact on acceleration would give the the irrits as its a daily driver. I'll likely pic up a set of steelies and some 33" muddies for play time. Just in the middle of packing for a trip so no time to get any decent pics up but I'll be sure to put some more up when I get back.

Been a little while since my last update. Work and play getting in the way of the internets.... So all the gear it went in for ^^^^^^^^^ has performed extremely well so far and I'm stoked with the results in particular the performance of the Icons. Incredible control over all terrain and not a hint of fade even after 50 odd km of mixed surface fully loaded at a reasonable speed.

Over the past couple of weeks, I've installed the spotties and primary fuel filter. So far so good. Really quite short on time of late but I'll get some pics up soon. We all like pics.
