from there I had superior install a 3" lift (mind they only lifted 2" and I had to take it back spitting feathers in order to get my extra 1", it all counts!!!!)

I installed 55W HID front lights
snorkel (absolute nightmare - wish i'd taken photo's)
new wheels and 265/70/17 dynopro MT's

now it looks like the below

I got seriously bogged in the smallest puddle you could imagine. it was a mixture of mud sand and water. After a chain of hilux's with winches and snap straps couldn't free me I was resigned to leaving my project overnight in the pit of doom on the side of a road in logan. A dude in a disco finally freed me after 4 hours of despair. I took away 3 things from this episode.
    1) I need more clearance
    2) I need more traction
    3) I need a winch

    so next steps are
    15" wheels with 33" tyres
    e locker on the front
Dominator 12000 winch ( the only one that could free me from the pit of doom)

I just bought an auto lokka for the rear for $500 but am now a bit weary of fitting it so it may just sit in the shed

    I,ll keep you informed

No but, a mate of mine at work reckons I'd get more use and wouldn't need a winch (and face it, in sand you're better off) if I invested in a rear locker before winch.

still haven't got around to fitting the auto locker, hopefully next weekend.

on a different note, does anyone know if 15" rims fit on the rear of the 120? I know 16" will but am unsure about 15".
          Cheers

yes 15's will fit on the back.

                have progressed a little.
                1) have new wheel arches on the way ( I say on the way..i'm building them so they may well be a disaster)
                2) winch mount arrived today so have to figure out how to fix to the chassis.

Will buy a tiger11 winch at the weekend. has anyone had experience of these (if you're only going to reply with yes please don't bother it doesn't add anything)
