John the 2.8L takes a full size N70 and is supported in the same way as the cranking battery (right across battery base) so that can be installed in the same was as the cranker. The A/C pipes have moved on the 2.8 so there is no clearance issue.

Hi mate, nice car. ARB in Qld are telling me that there isn't a battery tray for the 2.8 yet. Did you get a custom one made?

Cheers mate. It's so different to the lux. I'm liking it but the change is still setting in.

Hey mate yeh it's good. Alot quiter. Power difference isn't much accept quicker off the mark and first is a little shorter which should be good in the bush.

So picked up the new car and have had to wait on a few items to be confirmed by ARB.

    Color Coded Deluxe BullBar
    Side Steps with Scrub bars
    Snorkel
    Dual Batteries

I've already fitted 275/65/18 Maxxis MT764's - was going to go Coopers STT but to hard to get and very expensive.

I previously had a hilux with a GTURBO Stage 2 running 31 psi of boost and a HKS FCon ID fuel Management system. The power difference was double over std and the torque was, well you can't even compare. More torque than a 200 series. Just Auto's supplied and fitted most of the gear and dyno tuned it.

I have the same power upgrade plans for this new one. Just Autos have only just aqquired a new lux and are going the R&D now.

Suspension wise the kakadu is pretty limited. Have looked at Calloffroads gear now exploring overseas to see what's available. Any tips, pointers on the suspension would be great. When i get car back from ARB next Friday I'll post some more pics.

Cheers Slippery - I look forward to chatting with you all.
