Looking tops there mate! With your second battery, looks like it might be in backwards? Was always taught to have the positive terminal on the engine-side of the bay, so that if you ever have an accident and get hit on that quarter panel, the positive terminal doesn't make contact with your fender and energize the entire car...
Finishing up the planning stage for a very similar build myself (6 months in the making!), so keeping a keen eye on yours!
On another note anyone here part of a good 4wd club in vic ? My inlaws are in one and go away a fair bit and love it.
I'm a member of the Toyota Landcruiser Club of Victoria, they run regular trips for members. They also own a property at Yarck in Victoria that members can use once they fulfill certain requirements, it also where they run the practical part of the Driver Awareness course included with your 1st year's membership.
Outback Draw System
Rear Cargo Barrier
Clearview drop down fridge slide
Also getting Airbag Man Raised Dunlop Airbags installed.
After the Dobinsons went in. It's made the car sit level. No Rake at all so went to fourby show and spoke to Airbag man guys and have done some reading.
Look like more comfort and more articulation will come from these.
So that will be pretty much it then. I do want a unichip but I'll wait till out of warranty. The car was either not serviced correctly at 30k or it has used alot of oil. Toyota are investigating this now at 1000km intervals. I think the service was done incorrectly.
Anyway keep you posted. Thanks for following my build. I'll post some pics in 2 weeks once all installed.

That's correct, for cable protection this should be fixed. But since he wants to tidy up and get some plastic shields, I think this will be the first issue he will sort out :-)
@slipperyskakadu: Looking forward to your first impressions with your unichip-mod. Keep us informed! :-D
re: wiring...it appears that the positive cable from the start battery to the winch isolator switch seems to be laying across the top of your battery hold down bracket...with the negative cable lying on top of that cable pushing in down even more ....whilst it may never wear through, depending on corrugations and temperatures it could be a spectacular failure if that cable ever did wear through, so yes, I recon I would tidy up a bit, from a cable protection point of view..
