Looks the goods you have done very similar to what i did.
Where did you get battery tray is it piranhas one? Non were on market when did mine had to make from scratch

Just need to tidy up the wiring and put the insulator plastic sleeve over the engine bay cables and capish. All done! - for the today !

Red Arc Dual Battery SystemIn

















Pulled half the car apart to run 8mm 12v auxiliary to 12 pin socket and the electric brakes signal.

Also installed two 12v cig auxiliaries for fridge and what ever else.

Have pulled cables through for future light bar and spotties.


Hardest part was pulling everything apart with out breaking clips.

Have installed Dobinsons KDSS springs, gave 50mm lift and spaced the rear sensors out 8mm to give an inch in the rear.

I think i want more in the rear. Not sure yet.

Just waiting on UHF and some other things to turn up in the post and I'll fit them.

Matt @ Just Auto's is working on the HKS F-Con ID for the new 2.8TD. So hopefully it will be ready before Birdsville!!!

Ok so i just put dual battery in. Piranha Tray with Supercharge Allrounder MZ70 battery.

I've also got 2" lift going in tomorrow. I'll post some photos tomorrow.

Also just bought.
Tow Pro Elite Brake Control System
Uniden UHF with full integrated hand Control
Cree 140W led Driving lights.
Red ARC dual Battery System.

So that'll keep me busy for a couple of days.

We have a trip planned to Birdsville Big Red Bash in July. Will be doing Dalhousie, Simpson dessert, Sturt Stoney dessert etc... already done some of it the lux i had but i rekon it's going to be so much better in the prado.

I been a bit quiet on here, bought a V8 ute so that has grabbed my attention for the short term. I'm just waiting for winch to go in then I'll hit some tracks.

I won't be doing much more to the kakadu until March - April.

I decided on the last of the 3.0lt Kakadu and took delivery in July.
Absolutely love it and will be watching this thread for ideas and inspiration!
Ours will certainly be hitting the sand dunes and various other 4x4 trails at any chance we get.

Great to see kakadu getting done up. don't see many of them getting done up on road.
doesn't kakadu come with airbag suspension?

Cheers ! Yeh it does which makes it a bit harder to get suspension kits. I can get 2 inch lifted bags. Ripping it out and installing coils isn't really an option as it will require modification and a engineers otherwise it technically wouldn't be insured and simply can't have that. I can trick the levelling system to make the rear run higher all the time and throw dobinsons kdss coil overs in the front.

Only at the rear, and it's useless for big loads like that bar work. Rip it out and go medium duty 2"

Some photos of the new gear fitted. Picked it up this afternoon. Very happy. So much goes in to bullbars these days. Relocating front camera, headlight washers, cut outs in step for the sidestep lights.

I see why ARB are the dearest but the best.

Hi mate, nice car. ARB in Qld are telling me that there isn't a battery tray for the 2.8 yet. Did you get a custom one made?
