Re: Flicker - 120 Build Up by Prado BB

Youre brake controller is easy to fit, it just takes time. The hardest part is getting to youre brake pedal switch, then running a feed brake cable from the cotroler to the tow bar. Other then that its just power from the battery and a negative. Good luck anyhow, Zook.

Looks Good, PradoBB. you gotta be happy with the mobile home.

Your Diff Breather Kit,....you got off E-Bay. It looks very simiar to BilletRaceCraft one for $112 on Ebay.

                http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Diff-Breather-Ki ... .m14.l1262

Do you know if your kit for the Prado uses 1/8" BSP plug size, as I've been thinking about putting breathers in my 120 too.
The Billet Race Craft mentions this breather plug size in their kit and was hoping it would fit the Diffs on Prado.

The kit I bought was specific for the 120 Prado and yes the diff fitting was the 1/8" BSP - the eBay user name was slugger59. Everything was provided in the kit and it was an easy install.

Looking at the BilletRaceCraft kit, this would work just the same. On my prado the transmission/transfer breathers were joined via a T joint into a single breather and therefore I only needed the one new breather mount. If this is the same with your prado, then you could extend the rear diff to the front and join to one Billet input on the manifold and use the remaining input for the tranny/transfer case and the front diff should be okay as it is already high enough (unless you plan on drowning your prado). Otherwise you need to buy 2 Billet kits ($224).

                  Cheers

Added, Hayman Reece drop hitch. This is also recommended for those who have the Jayco style CTs as it gives a little extra length which means you can extend the bed with the vehicle still connected to the CT.

                    And.....

A Tekonsha P3 brake controller to keep everything legal and under control.

Hi SteveMc, originally the hawk had the standard 14" alloys and road tyres. I have changed them for the jayco 15" and mud terrains. The axle is now underslung - therefore allowing the 15" wheels to fit without rubbing. The hawk also sits level when hitched to the Prado.

                        Cheers, Andy

                            Hey Steve

No problems with brake lines, the legs were a little short post the lift, but I scored some longer ones cheeply second hand and it's no perfect.

                            Cheers
