See that i have made the jumper cables with a winch connector. So i dont have to open the hood to
connect in on my car. I just connect it in the wich connector in the front or the back of the car.
So I understand you can connect the winch at both he front and the back of the car? That's pretty cool. But is the jumper leads then used for jump starting with dedicated power to the winch mounting OR or the jumper leads used to power the winch? I know you mention that you connect the jumpers to the winch connector at front and back so I am assuming this is only for jump starting.

Yes, i can conntect my winch in the front and rear.

The winch contacts are dimmensjoned for 400Amps, so i can run my jumper cable trough these contacts.
These are primary there for the winch, so i just figured out one day that i could use them for the jumpers to.
Then i dont need to open the hood and have the cabels laying around on the cars body.

Do you have these cabel connectors (red winch contact) over there?

I can take some more pictures of them, and the fittings of the contacts on the car if you want to see how it works..

We only spent a night there, but I managed to get up early and hike around part of Forstevan Lake and up the hill beside it to look over the town. While I was up there, I saw our boat turning up, so I had to hot-foot it back to our Hotel. Photo Link (from the top of the hill)

We found Kirkenes (and the whole of northern Norway) magical. It's on our list to return in Winter and do lots of the tourist stuff on offer up there. On that trip, we were doing the Hurtigruten from North to South on the Midnatsol. Best overseas trip ever.

      Michael
yes, the Hurtigruten is a superb sea trip.

If you ever consider a stay in Norway, my family owns sea cottages in my hometown.
You can see information here: http://www.dintur.no/index.php?user=det&pid=316

Alot of our guest is people that have been on hurtigruten before.
I can strongly recomend it. And i can take you with on ofroading, snowmobiling and whatever you want.
I live onli a couple hundred of meters from the cabins.

Lundberg, congratulations you're definitely on our wishlist for the next trip to Norway. Especially if we get to go for a blast in an Arctic Truck!
Just don't get too excited, it could be a year or two away.

Everything is expensive because we have much more taxes on everything than other contries.
A car like that in sweden or Denmark would have been much cheaper, but then again, they don't build them there.
So, if you want one, it would hurt you wallet, yes :P
But for us thats in the Arctic Trucks community, it's totaly worth it.
            AUD$44K is not expensive!

Hmmm..., maybe I read it wrong, you mean 44k just for the upgrades?
