  • Love your build, been lurking around here for a while and yours is really a stand out. Just moved to Darwin from Cairns and now live just around the corner from you, I will have to tag along for a drive one day.

i put a joiner in the co-ax so i could remove the bull bar when needed. i re-did these with new plugs and joiner as they had a bit of water corrosion. i use rescue tape. awesome stuff, and no one should be without at least one roll in the glove box.

i also sent the TX3100 off to GME for test and repair. not exactly sure what the issue was. and i now run an AE4705 aerial.

          • I'm a newbie here on pp but what a nice looking rig. Any future wheel changes cause I put the 150series wheels on my 07 GXL and looks unreal. Mine had the standard gx wheels when I brought it but it lasted 2hrs before I changed them. I found a place in brisbane that had a brand new set with tyre for only $1400, But i chose to get just the rims and got them for $800.

here's another one i got through not long ago.

my mate says its not normal to have the tyres still on the ground when your diff is angled one way and your bumber is the angled the other way.

                      • i'm afraid to get a wheel up (tyre off the ground) these days, as it puts the car so far over on an angle, feels like i need rock sliders for the door handles.

going out for a wheel tomorrow, so hopefully i can get some more pics up. i may as well post wheeling pics as i haven't done anything new to the prado to report.

not yet. i was holding off with the gearing until i find a direction i want to head towards.

so far, with the steinbauer and the beaudesert, it makes it pretty nice to drive.

we don't have much rocky stuff here, mainly just mud.

Okay thanks for that, im looking into 33"s but not too sure what gearing ratio is correct.

if you mainly drive mud, i gearing wouldnt be much of an issue i dont think.
