Mounted half the mudflaps. Just need to finish mounting the ones in the middle of the camper.



When I paint the camper I will also be applying brush on body deadener to the drawbar and under the camper to reduce stone damage.

Hello all,

I am in the middle of planning my trip next year http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...765#post430765

Things I need to get are as follows:

2x ARB fridges. I was looking at a 47ltr (dedicated fridge) and a 60ltr (dedicated freezer) mounted side by side using Redback drop slides sitting on a Redback twin draw system. As I found out today I don't have enough room for this setup. I could have the fridges mounted on the floor with some sort of shelf above the fridges.

The other option is to have two 60lt ARB fridges as they are 428mm high compared to the 47lt which is 508mm. One mounted in the prado and one mounted in the camper trailer. The camper trailer has an inside height clearance of 520mm. I would need a slide that can slide out 500mm (depth of kitchen) plus another say 500-600mm to access inside the fridge. Is this possible?

The other is a Honda EU20i (Generator Place http://www.generatorplace.com.au/ runs promos all the time) and Front and rear E Lockers from Opposite Lock.

After some ideas on the mounting the fridges and making or buying some draws. Has someone got a twin fridge setup in their Prado?

As far as fridge slides go - have a look at these http://www.bwidow.com.au/fridge_slides/fridgeslides.htm on the ex side, but drops the fridge down.

I cannot have two fridges side by side with this drop down slide, even if they are 40ltr fridges but they are an awesome design. Better than the MSW slide, I have looked at both videos on Youtube.

I cannot find that user name in the members list.

EDIT - I found it, his spelling was THSWYUP. Yes they are Engels but he is not using drop slides. So I think I may have to have one fridge in the Veh and one in the camper trailer.

I have finally finished my second spare wheel carrier http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...l=1#post420361

I just need to make up a strap to hold the support cable up so it doesn't get caught on things. I also have to modify where the jockey wheels are located, finish the stone guard and spray the rest of the trailer.

The front storage box is my first attempt at spray painting hammertone paint. Worked pretty good considering the current climate in Darwin. I used a 1.7mm nozzle.

The black strip along the bottom is body deadener for stones.

We remove the smaller middle row seat for big trips and mount the second fridge, freezer actually, there. Not sure if that would be an option for you or not!

If putting a fridge in a camper just be aware that it can get Very hot in trailer, unlike the air conditioned car.
