Originally posted by winniliss View PostWell I finally got my tyres. Wanted BFG All-Terrain but stocks are limited. I got Yokohama Geolander A/T-S 275/65/17 for around $1800 for 5. Very happy so far on sealed and gravel roads and sand. Haven't tested them in the mud but no doubt they will be the same as any all-terrain and clog up. I got the spacers from AMTS for the spare wheel. For a larger picture click on the image.
I have also ordered my Endless Air system http://www.endlessair.com.au/ and my airbag suspension http://www.airbagman.com.au/OA.html
Getting the boys from L&S Suspension in Darwin to raise the vehicle 50mm and install the above parts, taking pics along the way. I will do a write-up on that later. In the mean time I will have to look at extending the mud flaps for the new lift.
How much are they?

I have the 275/65/17 tyre instead of the 265/65/17 which means my tyre is a little taller and wider. I allows clearance between the tyre and the door. I also removed the plastic trim that sits behind the wheel at the bottom. It just takes up room and creates wear marks which leads to rust later down the track.
I got them on this forum from Amts. See the following thread

Very happy with them.
Winston.
P.S On anther note my tyre carrier for my camper is coming along nicely. Pics soon.Winston.

Fair enough. I've been caught out before when a car I owned was off the road for a month following an accident (not my fault), plus I went overseas for a few weeks after that. No-one would accept they had custody of the keys and the car was not in my possession. Ended up not making my Ks and had to fork out a heap of $$ in FBT.

Well I have been working on my camper trailer between shifts at work etc. I have also purchased some cheap HVLP spray guns paint etc to re-spray the camper. I couldn't get hammer tone brown and it's going to be special charcoal grey.
The following is the spare wheel carrier. just need to clean it up and paint. Also need to make up a cable that clips onto the drawbar and wheel carrier frame when I open it up. This will prevent it from going too far over.
I also had to modify the gas bottle mount so that they could be mounted further forward on the drawbar. Just need to make up a new stone deflector.
