i evan listened up the tail pipe ( with out gassin' my self .. as this v6 is tuned ) there is a ticking sound but boyz i"m shore that is the natural sound of the donk.. from both sides of the car it's the same ... ticking . but being honest now it is the faintest clickin' sound .....if ...

you get this equal note out of your 1GR-FE , you'd have to be stoaked, too, cheers butane'

NOT HAVIN' AGO STEVE, but with my motor the left bank had the tick,, gludge, but 8 oil changes later , every five, with filter, always run on 98, new plugs and K&N..
has the ticking evan from 360 degree's... as i hear it
is consistant as lifter noise... was keen to get the extractors , and sovle the problem but, the headers werent the fix.. its the 8 filters , 8 fresh oil changes , to evan out the v6 !gr - fe 4.0l petrol engine...........

anything else i continue with from hear on , means that i have a healthy V6........ (800 kms) and due for a new filter / and castrol magnatec......... plus a K&N filter clean kit..... will pull out a " power " plug... and check how it looks ...

last minute thought, evey time i go to toyota spare's, i grab a few sump washers', couple of cents , easy
oil filters are ryco, via local supercheapauto........... change every 5,000

bonnet scoop

ordered a silver bonnet scoop from china, just to see, didn't cost much but i liked the shape, stay tuned
got a silver one so i could visualise b4 i paint it black.. all good, few weeks for delivery , in no rush

cheap wiper jets. ebay

fitted 'em today, yes plenty of water, much better than stock twin squirt per side, the fg falcon (missus) has much more acute fan, and coverage... but because its a realistic price to spray more water over the the front glass, i have no probs with the after market product.. I'm broke as, and cant justify the upgrade to toyota specs squirters... this is a cheap improvement to my rig, kept the factory originals, and have no issues, this rig is a keeper and will do me till I run it into, its retitrement... hence the V6... good for long kays, and the other fact is its not a daily driver, its a tow rig, waiting for its use.. fuel is dear i dont use it, especially running '98...and have the company ute, free local runs...
which in my favour keeps the kays down..

bonnet scoop turned up

had it on the hood, for a look and see but stiill unsure... will ponder on it, flat out on the work front, and winter here no arvo day light, its dark here at 530 in the gong. fire drum getting some use , but no good for tinkering after dark .. bring on spring, boyz ... all good here will suss out the scoop and take my time in that area,,, cheers butane
