    Aldi Air Compressor

last night i did a practical test of the adli compressor ....

    # found the 12v power lead to short...
    # the air coil hose too long
    # the pressure gauge in accurate by 10 psi

I stripped the switch end case off the compressor and found the electrical connections
to be a true reflection of the price... re soildered the poor conections // heat shrink.
replaced the 12v lead will a new one that will get the compressor to each wheel with ease

replaced the air guage with a another one i had in the shed.. more accurate...

shortened the flexible air hose so its only about 1m long..

have a inline fuse on the on the battery clips now... so

generally i have changed the set up so i'm not walking back and forwards around the rig... and the compressor is by my side

    cheers butane

      G'day butane,

Looking good mate. Nice winch mount. I hope you have as good a run with your Aldi compressor as I have with mine. Mine is about 2 years old now and is still going strong. I originaly bought it with the intention of replacing it when it broke, but it has'nt yet. The only issue I had with it was the crappy twin-can solenoids. I fixed that problem by replacing them with a single heavy duty Thompson solenoid and by mounting it high in the engine bay. Something to concider. Look forward to reading more on your rig.

handbrake done.. greased tail shafts done

ripped the back rotors off not too bad... blew 'em out with air reassembled.. and adjusted ... was alot easier
than my first go at this area... hand brake grabs and holds at 5th clik nice

              tip
back the shoe adjust right off b4 your want to removed the rotor/drum.. this time i used a welding rod bent the tip to release the screw.. flat screw driver the other direction ...

greased all uni and shaft points... all good

              cheers butane

                  winch control box

winch control box.. pretty straight forward as far as the solenoid upgrade.. waiting for the 12v isolater..
can see the chunky difference ... looks like , money well spent

4.5dB GAIN UHF ANTENNA ON HEAVY DUTY SPRING WITH DETACHABLE MAST SECTIONThis UHF antenna is a good performer on the Australian 77 channel UHF CB band. (Commonly known as 80 channel).

The fibreglass mast is detachable (as shown in the picture).

Mounted on a heavy duty stainless steel spring.

The antenna is ground independent which means it does NOT need to use the vehicle body.

The mast is a gloss black hollow fibreglass blank with a colinear antenna inside. They are completely factory pre-tuned.

The springs are stainless steel with chrome plated brass fittings and will NOT RUST.

4.5 metres of RG58 coax is connected to the spring. The cable has a small FME connector fitted so that it will pass easily through vehicle firewalls etc.

An FME to PL259 adaptor is supplied to connect the UHF antenna to mobile UHF CB radios.
