this is just the factory high beams, we all hate the factory courtessy angle
next one is just the ARB mini spots on the bar , factory headlights on parkers,,,
need to lower the right side a tad...
next is all hid's and factory high beam, bar mini's off,,
you can see how much the color changes , i dont believe that bright is better... i like a combination of choices for different roads. and conditions.. cheers butane
cheers sol , i think it looks ok, but trying not to go too far as well... it's a hard thing to keep it balanced,,,,, i'm enjoying this rig.. it's a good prado ... not for sale...[ wink ] ,thx butane
used my 12v pump outta my parts wash drum and drilled the platic ball valve out in a old lawn spinkler i had in the shed , so the hose was a tight fit, heated the hose with a lighter and stuffed it thro the ball valve on the sprinker... pump fits thro the 20litre water drum easy as , length of hose not adjusted
........ on off switch .. not my idea... but it worked out nice, cheers butane..
running shell 98.. filled it up and drove down the Hume to wagga ... 110k freeway
revs at 110 k/p/h , sitting on 2200 rpm .. air con on all the way with about 160kg's in the back of the wagon.. "not towing"
left wagga , on sealed back roads, up to the farm at Borawa , 100 k/p/hr revs at 2000 rpm
and back home again '''........ generally half freeway, half country tar country roads....
first tank switched over at 681 kays travelled... and returned home with a total distance travelled of 918 kays travelled.. and this much in the tank..
evan if i only get another 300 out of the 2nd tank the numbers would be 14.7 L / per 100km's
the burn on the first tank was 12.9 l /p / 100 ... so very happy here.. not often i travell without towing a load.. and that was on cruise control for most of the trip..

well , lets call that mark 1........ lol
all good in the test phase at home ...... was fubar , in reality ,,, lol
seems the sprinkler allowed more water out , too , quick for the pump to prime iniatially...
and three minutes aint enuff for , the missus, the boy, and me to have a wash with ten litre's...
took a peice of 5mm rubber sheet , 500mm x 1000m , to stand on .. that was good tho,,, lol' but
"MARK 2"
mark 1, has been thro the " R&D ".......... lol in australia ,,, ( wink )
will modify for next trip.... cheers butane
iron man 40mm lift......... M/T atz combination .. country tar ..rolling hills
came around a nice left handed hilltop ( crest ) on a real smooth line.. lookin for the apex at about 85k/p/hr.. and saw a rock lined up with the right side tyres
looked for the apex and holding the smooth balance, as the rig was on its lay to the right under power.. taken the crest ,
the weight had just came down loading the front right.. nice and smooth ,
looked back at the rock.......
about 100mm x 150mm x 90mm H , in a teardrop shape ... the point facing to the left....
i worked it out, to hit the front right tyre , from the centre of the rock . It would of hit the inside edge for sure..
looked back ,no apex, throttle held on the downside of the crest , smooth as , . and at the right time blinked.
lol
for a milli..secnd. left hand edge of the tyre smacked that lonesome rock from the way it sounded,,,,,,, into the centre tank guard. only one thump ..
big thump but only one.. the tyre and suspension flawless......... evan the steering wheel didnt take the shock, big plug for the gear I'm running
the rig continued thro the downside of the crest for another 100m , sweeping left .. balance nice i , found the apex 100m later that opened nicely , straight into a down hill long left..
no bullshit , ... the MICKEY THOMPSEN ATZ ( 43 p.s.i ), and IRONMAN suspension deserve a plug... was a bit hit... the rig sucked it up and showed its true color's... prado's are very nice to drive
check'd how the bugs are going on the screen , since the three in a row HID's, blocked the air flow..
being honest theirs plenty of evidence where the cold air flow is comin thro the bar, the ARB deluxe bar without the number
plate blocking the flow , noted, from other veiw point"s , and members photo's , being a welder i'm glad i can "improvise" and keep the no plate over my winch fairlead....
keep the flow thro this area... for shore its a good idea, cheers butane
spreads are terrific , other than looks the centre spot didn't impress me,
on the open road.. the spreads put out better light and to the same distance as the spot? so ,
, any way... looks good tho . will play around a bit more and report back, cheers butane
