      • Thanks, noise wise - not that I have noticed, best of all neither has the wife.

Did you have any issues with compliance fitting the larger tyres? I currently have the same ones but they are coming off tomorrow and having a stock size (still ATs) fitted; can't get VicRoads to say they are OK.

                • Suncorp had no issues when I rang about them before ncop came in, great tyre.

If you read through the NCOP for Qld thread you'll see there's still a lot of uncertainty, especially where vehicles have ESC.

What they say verbally and what is in the fine print can be vastly different. RACV said "OK as long as VicRoads say it's OK" but VicRoads say no. I raised it with the dealer who sold me the Kakadu and they spoke to VicRoads who still said no. The end result is the dealer will be putting new ATs (should be Bridgestone D697 in the 265/60/R18 size) tomorrow. I'm not entirely happy to be going down to a smaller tyre but hey I do get new tyres and the BFGs are around 1 year old already.

                    • Finally got around to doing something tonight - installed an eBay special front grille mounted camera! Looks like the OE Kakadu camera however wider angle and adjustable.

Not a bad fit at all for $25 + $10 freight. Switch on dash to turn front camera on at any time. Should be handy on and off road.

Also the new all important PP sticker by Wozclean.

Oh and a shot from our weekend adventure with Craigm ad Hutch.

                      Cheers Daniel

                          • Thanks. I have emailed the seller to see if they have any more for sale. Was the wiring straight forward?

                            • The wiring was ok however it would be easier on a GXL with the Extreme Electronics GPS system, the VX one is a little different so I had to wire up my own switch. Easy to do but.

This is where I mounted my switches, they are Narva 63012BL On/On switches.

1 - is the trigger switch to turn the cameras on and the second is the camera select - being front or rear.

I was surprised with the camera viewing angle and how much I get to see that I normally would not.

Have to say that I am happy with my little mod.

                              Cheers Dan

Great work, have you done it so that you can turn the back camera on at any time too?

Did you have to modify the switches to make them fit and if so what did you do?
