Great build up Glen. You have put a lot of work into your pradoand it looks great.
I wouldn't worry about that auto fluid condition, it is actually still very clean and not burnt which is a good sign. Obviously a good move to change the filter and fluid from the pan but you have nothing to worry about with the condition of the old fluid, it has been looked after.
I did something similar on my front as well. I noticed that I had a nice slice taken out of the middle of my new BFG muddies and couldnt work out what it was from. Eventually I figured it was the seam so took the wheels off, cut the top part of the seam with an angle grinder and then bent it over with a BFH. Liberal coats of cold gal were then applied to prevent any rust issues.
Unfortunately I cut out the raised bit of the wheel arch liner which meant that dirt was getting in behind the wheel arch panel and mud guard so I bought a sheet of plastic and shaped it to fit and attached it using the existing holes. The annual application of rust proofing (to the plastic liner??) by the rustproofer and you'd hardly notice it. I'm only running 265/75s as well.
