Had the 150 out in Marysville State Forest on Saturday for a play in the mud and ruts. The new suspension performed beautifully and the extra clearance was certainly noticed. I'll have some pics and video up here shortly. Stay tuned...

Driving up through the Black Spur on the way there and back gave me a good opportunity to compare the handling from the stock suspension. I've driven this road numerous times in the 150 and I can say that the body roll has been significantly reduced and it now takes corners much more easily.

Also very impressed with the compliance over bumps and potholes. Over all, probably the best mod I've mad so far

    Cheers, Sam.

                Hey Sam

Great video, noticed the white 150 v6 petrol (go the 150 petrols!!) leading the way, amazing what a decent set of tyres, the correct pressure can do. Not to mention the traction control diff locks, maybe not. What camera and software are you using for video, and are you coming to the 2011 GTG you could be our historian?

                Regards, Richo.

I brought the Navara power 90 in HB3 and they didn't fit. The bulb is the same but the upgraded bulbs didn't have the metal lugs on that secure the bulb in place... Not happy and $55 wasted.

Is HB3 the equivalent of H11? The manual specifies H11 globes for the low beam. Hopefully mine fit. They arrived on Monday and I'll fit them on the weekend.

                        Sam,

The H11 is for the high beam... HB3 low beam.
Let me double check. Back in 30 secs!

                          Nope... Page 603 of manual.

Low beam (halogen): Type B (H11)
                          High beam: Type C (HB3)

At least you can use your new globes in the high beam

                          Cheers, Sam.

Maybe that's why it didn't fit... Whoops! I bought both but only tried to fit the low beam! What a donut!!!!

After scraping the belly of the Prado a few times recently I thought it was time to add some underbody protection.

The new Brown Davis underguard along with the extra clearance after the lift should significantly reduce the risk of any underbody damage now.

The Brown Davis guard looks to be very well made. I had one on my Pajero too and it copped a hiding without ever looking like bending or breaking. I really like the way all of the bolt heads are recessed inside welded rings to prevent shearing any off. It also has a sump plug access plate to save having to remove the whole thing during servicing.

                              Cheers, Sam.
