Hutch without hijacking Samo 's thread ,I can offer you my view. remembering i am also hoping out a 120 1KZ an into a BT The comfort is quite surprising and roomy ,but the BT do feel huge in comparision to a Prado. The engine seems to have plenty of get up n go but do suffer from a turbo lag from take up but i believe there is a control module aftermarket that addresses the problem. Only today i helped my mate fit up a complete Tought Dog suspension kit to the Twin Ford Ranger and the ride was great after fitting so i will be doing similar but maybe OME. As to comparing it to a Prado comfort wise , the Prado will always be better due to the coil rear end,. I think with changing leaf springs you need to be careful that if the ute is unladen at anytime that the springs are not to rigid. The cabin feel is very car like with features that you now get on most cars like sat nav ,steering wheel controls, blue tooth ,5 star safety features etc. I guess they will never be a Prado but will be a great alternative , far better than an out of date Hi Lux.
    cheers Russ

We have mazda car and I think the quality is right up their with toyota, only issue we have is out dealer is a bunch of dick heads and servicing isn't cheap, no we are out of warranty we go elsewhere now.
make sure we get to see the new rig.
maybe PP will have to have an old member with new rig tjread.

Can't wait to see the pictures Mark. Looks like both of us are trading at the same time. Saw the wife's cousins Ranger in April and was pretty impressed, what swung you to the Mazda over the ford?

        Cheers Neil

hey rags as to the lag, i have read that there is flash that mazda can do to the gearbox thats makes it much better not 100% but 70%, or you can always try a sprint booster module, i know a fella that has 1 in his prado and it peps up the responce time a little. as to the ford over mazda it was price driven the gt in the mazda was 6g cheaper then the wildtrack in the ford and i hate the wheels on the ranger, that 6k more goodies i can get elsewhere lol. cheers samo

They're a good beast. You won't be disappointed. My 120GX was a great bus, was really sad to see it go.

Looks good Samo, will be keeping an eye out for it. My brother inlaw traded his 120 on a BT50 last year and is happy with it so far, apart from the weak steering rack its going well.Gets good fuel economy even towing his van and tinny on top.His is decked out with a snorkel like yours plus bar ,winch, canopy and rear drawers but it needs a suspension up grade particually for towing
