      Yep - I know ...

The original was a 7 pin round plug that hung further down on another bracket attached to the one you can see.

It added visual clarity to the old line ... "one hung low".

I've been planning out how to build a set of modular drawers that allow flexibility in use - like put one in when I need to keep one of the 3rd row seats - or put both in when I can leave a kid at home.

But the woodwork skills needed warming up - so I whipped up a table to hang off the back door. It cost me $40 in bits - $14 in glue, $17 in carpet and $9 for the marine ply. The rest was bits and pieces from around the shed.

I reckon it turned out OK as a practice run.

          Cheers

Wet day with nothing to do - except maybe play with my mechano set

First was to locate my torch - thanks, once again, to this thread.

Then I wired up a Sutar socket to power my fridge from a fused source direct from the dual battery.

I think I see my next job - it's getting a little crowded in here.

Then I got to try out my new fridge thermometer - thanks for the tip Pedro.

Then I acquired this great little emergency torch.

It has a pen clip. It's magnetic so you can stick it on the car body somewhere. It has two seat belt cutters built in and is also a hammer for breaking glass.

            It also provides light.

            It has flashing red LEDs.

Or a setting for both - at the same time.

All in all - a day well spent.

            Cheers

Chippy, Where did you get your little light from?

Picked it up from a specials bin at a little hardware store at Airlie Beach for $10.

More than happy to duck back there and check to see if they've got any more.

It's an OSRAM product but I think it was one of their discontinued lines.

                Sorry Steve.

Possibly the best thing to do is make a sticky post seperate to this thread and list all the items discussed here with maybe a link to the person who posted about it....
                  for example.....

                  Great idea Les,

We might need a sticky tread almost under every section through...
The only problem is that someone (the mods team) will have to maintain it...

The suggestion I would have so far is for anyone who want a link added to
the sticky post to notify moderators team so they can add it...

Now we have to find a way to create a Moderators Group, so the notice can got to all the mods instead of sending it to each one separately

In reference to the above post by Stan....

The hard bit would be collating the thread initially, and I would do that for you. I would even maintain the thread. I would prefer if the new little things thread was a sticky and locked. A mod would not even have to do any work at all, except unlock the thread when I want to update it with new additions.
                    What ya think Stan?

The other & perhaps easier option is simply to post your own "Little Thing" (be nice), & that way when anyone comes up with a new idea you get an email saying someone else has added to this thread. And we get more ideas from people wanting tobe included win/win

good idea, just need a mod to start the new thread and sticky it, then members can repost their link.

So the way you want it is members who have done mods to add their mod to the sticky so they get notified if anything is added?
                                Like this says....
