2004 V6 Grande, 283,000 km. Replaced the radiator last year, starter just recently, had the sunroof out 2 weeks ago to fix some rattles. Replaced the fuel pressure regulator at the last service. Other than suspension replacement, pretty much everything else mechanical is original.

I’m new here! I was recently gifted a really neat 1996 90 series V6 VX Grande.
It has done 575,000 K’s but genuine country k’s and majority done on lpg. The old girl still seems to pull hard and the transmission is smooth. Only concern is a burning smell when you get our after a drive and some time can have a “rich” smell in the cabin.
Should I expect her to die soon? Was well looked after by previous owner. Also any ideas on the smells.
Cheers

Such low kms for a car of that age. If it’s in good condition inside & out that’d sell quickly with those sort of k’s. My 90 series did 400,000km and then it was time for an upgrade. Damn reliable car though. I’d like to see a Ford Ranger get to those kms without it costing you $20,000 in repairs by that stage.
Looked at getting something new recently but not much available in petrol ( never been convinced on new diesels) and best offer for it was $15k so decide to keep it for a few more years.
Beside all the time and cost in getting it set up would be wasted. Only thing I need to do is look into why it still drops 50mm on towball on new springs when hooking up caravan, might need airbags.
