Pays to shop around for Insurance!

I pay $1070 a year full comp but I'm 20 years old so that screws me over. I listed it for 26 to replace will bump it up now I have put more accessories on it.

Couldn't agree more Greg, way too wise (and old ) to fall for a cheap quote I think it's because I've bundled ALL the policies ie house contents, 2 cars and van but the actual policy is better as you do an agreed value and there's no need to add accessories you just basically tell them what it would cost to replace the car with everything and away you go ie I priced mine for replacement at $73 G even though it only cost 68 so 73 will replace that car, btw they said the policy can go to 80 for the same premium, we've got friends who've been with AAMI for years and found them to be more than competitive and have to say I've been through the policy and it's the same if not better than I all ready had , so dont put up with bad service, shop around, will be leaving for Bali tonight so if I dont reply before I go I'm not ignoring you,

Thats a good price, but cheaper is not always better. Just be sure of what they actually cover you for (off road use, accessories etc...). In my experience the cheaper the price the more hassle the claim is if/when it happens. Thats just my 10c worth.

The GXL t/d (8 months old now) Sapra the only gripe is the excess is $100 more at $450 but hey how often do you have a prang ? personally it's been 9 years now in fact only had one in 40 years !!! Woops shouldn't have said that methinks LOL............

After 7 years with APIA they made a huge cock up and cut a long story peed me off to the point I've now cancelled all 5 policies with them anyway just got a quote from AAMI for the 150 and they came in at a staggering $460 fully comp and there was me thinking APIA were cheap all that time not only was the service the absolute worst but they were having a laugh (at my expense) too, just shows it does pay to shop around and dont get complacent they must assume you'll just stay there keep them on the ball guys..............
