Not cheap,as much as the Prado with all the ARB bits, but we've worked our rings off for 27 years, and what the heck, we deserve it.
And we're gonna live in it for a year or two.
    Bring it on!!!
Well done... it certainly looks the part and you no doubt definitely deserve it. Its always a great feeling paying the deposit on something you really want, knowing that it now isn't too far away from being yours.

      Bump.

Currently researching the CT market with a view to purchasing in the near future. I see from the profiles, etc., that a few PPointers have CT set-ups. Would appreciate seeing a few responses giving a quick overview of their CT and any recommendations. 8)

Good looking camper/caravan I think you will be pleased with your purchase. It satisfies the need camping urge while giving all the benefits of a caravan. Well done

nt, you might want to check out myswag.org. It is a forum dedicated to offroad camper trailers, and there are quite a few PPer on there as well.

IMHO most members will recommend the camper trailer they currently got because it's suit their needs/wants and budget
You have to decide what your needs are first and then see whats suits YOU

Thanks lc120_man and also Kevin - I have looked at these other websites and continue to scan http://www.myswag.org in particular.

What you say is true. At the end of the day it will be a personal decision based on my own particular needs. But it is still interesting to hear from other PPointers with tested experiences using their camper trailers. Many appear quite similar with a range of available options to choose from. Some of the differences aren't perhaps so obvious. For example, those that use China based canvas products instead of Australian heavy duty canvas; and quality of the build/weld/design.

Perhaps most interestingly for me is what particular design feature swayed PP'ers to their particular brand of CT, and what they would change if they could do it again (and why, of course).

                Hi Geoff
I;ve hard a soft floor which was cameron camper which my wife and i went outback in it had no problems
really tough but a lot of hard work if you moving every day or second day . With soft floor campers there is
generally more room .My current trailer is kimberley kamper as we dont have any kids room wasnt a concern
and the set up and pack is more bearable .Another good hard floor trailer is the Aussie swag we have 3 friends
with these trailers no problems at all one has been to the cape twice and is going again next year i hope.
My advice is what ever you do decide keep it simple as the more bits and pieces in them the more that
                can go wrong .

Here is our new one on its maiden voyage. It tows like a dream and its really easy to setup. Heaps of room and very comfortable.

Next time I have it hooked up to the prado i'll take a pic so you can see what it looks like packed down.

Nice embi! But its a bit of a quantum leap from my touring tent set-up at the moment, and price range too. I'll just be happy if I can manage to get one of the various camper trailer set-ups that I am 'researching' at the moment.

Not sure if anyone has posted something about these - we haven't seen anything but may have missed it.

We stumbled across this on the net, we're going to look at one next week when the bloke gets back from holiday. Has anyone seen these dome camper trailers in action?

The central/bed area is a tent with fly over it as far as we can tell. The extended area look like just fly.
As we haven't seen one in the flesh we wondered if anyone could shed some light.

We currently have a dome tent that we've had for years - the poly doesn't bother us.

Here's another crowd that do them. They're definitely affordable.
