  • well i must say, after trading cars i dont miss paying 230ish per tank full but on the flip side i do miss the touring range, in saying that, 750km out of $110 is good considering the bt has 2100kms on the clock, where the 1kz was getting 1200 out of 160l
had an 03 gx 120 with some gear now got a 2013 bt 50 GT auto some ARB gear.

"The ACCC is also investigating whether the duration, frequency and extent of these fuel offers may have an adverse impact on the underlying level of fuel prices, particularly in circumstances where fuel retailers who would otherwise compete for price conscious customers are unable to do so."

Mr Trotter said the attitude of the retail giants was that a government agency would not ban "savings" for consumers.

"That's regardless of the fact they are an illusion and a cost burden to everyone who doesn't shop at Coles or Woolworths and buy $100 to $200 worth of groceries every week," he said.

        • Hello all,

If you think diesel in Melbourne is expensive, try $2.20 per litre for diesel at Yulara ( Ayers Rock ) last week. Running on LPG would cost 40% cf diesel until you get off the highways. Trouble is, who wants to drive highways. Slow down, use less.

          regards

                • Some of these prices make me think we were lucky when we went out to the Simpson a couple of weeks ago. Lyndhurst was $1.62, Mt Dare $2.20.
Got to admit, I wasn't too worried about the price - just glad to be able to fill-up.
